Cabarita Lookout Villa is perched on a hill adjacent to Noel Coward's Firefly , fourteen miles east of Ocho Rios, with breathtaking views in all directions. Sea view verandas are spacious and perfect for outside dining and sunbathing. A sparkling turquoise pool invites visitors to cool off while enjoying the amazing views. Local beaches offer opportunities to snorkel and enjoy the wonders of the Caribbean. A van and driver are available from 7 am to 9 pm for area attractions like Dolphin Cove, Mystic Mountain, Dunn's River Falls, The Blue Hole, White River Rafting, Reggae Beach, Fern Gully and the reggae-inspired nightlife. Our fabulous cook, Sharon, will prepare meals to your specifications. Cabarita Lookout Villa is the perfect spot for friends and family to gather and make memories. Our villa was completed in 2009 on part of the historic Wentworth estate, known to be the illustrious Captain Henry Morgan’s lookout and sitting adjacent to playwright Noel Coward’s dramatic “Firefly" estate. At the airport, you’ll be greeted by Cutty, your driver and new “best friend.” Cutty has a wealth of knowledge about Jamaica and will be happy to share the lore of his homeland. When arriving at the villa, you’ll be greeted with a rum punch by Sharon, our fabulous cook and meticulous housekeeper. Get ready, breathtaking views await you!

Cabarita Lookout is a wonderful house to stay in Port Maria. We were supposed to stay with another couple but they had to cancel last minute. We had the main bedroom which is upstairs with a king bed and bathroom. There is a claw foot tub with handheld sprayer but we chose to use the double shower downstairs off the living room. Directly across from the bedroom is the balcony which has an amazing view of the ocean, mountains and pool. We enjoyed the pool and the balcony off the dining room as well. The staff were nice, friendly and welcoming. Sharon cooked and served breakfast and dinner a few times which was nice and the driver, Cutty took us everywhere we needed to go which was also great. We were there for a conference/training and to visit our daughter for a couple of days so we didn’t really get to explore the area since we were gone most of the day. The bedrooms have air conditioning and the rest of the house is open air ventilation with plenty of sliding doors and windows for a nice breeze throughout. We didn’t see the other bedrooms since it was just my husband and I but we were told the were down stairs under the main level. Everything was great and we will definitely consider booking here again on another visit. The only thing we will not do is book a massage. Although the lady was nice and friendly, she talked the entire time and stopped massaging while talking so the entire hour all she really did was massage my shoulders and my husband said the same thing.

the only problem is driver dnt like driving at night which is not good for a bday trip but the house is beautiful, clean just too far from everything plus roads narrow so if you are homebody this is great place but if you are adventurous stay closer in town.

Fabulous sunrises...

We stayed in Anna's beautiful home for 8 days and if you love sunrises, this is the place for you. The house faces east with an unimpeded, million dollar view of the stars, the ocean, and the horizon. Mr. Cutty is always on site and is extremely helpful (and so nice) and Miss Sharon's cooking was fabulous. There was plenty to do in the area for days we wanted to go to the beach or explore a farm, but it was also wonderful to just stay at the house and relax by the pool. There are many reasons this place consistently gets 5 star ratings! We will definitely be back

Great Stay

We stayed at Cabrita Lookout for spring break in the last month of March with 3 adults and 3 kids (9,9,5) and had a great time. Now a little warning this property is about 1.5-2 hours from Montego Bay and about 45 minutes from Ocho Rios but with Cutty doing the driving and when you see the view it is well worth it. The Villa is located in the mountains so going up the mountain you are really taking off the beaten path but once you arrive at the property it is just breath taking. During your stay you will not be seeing any other tourists unless you venture to Ocho Rios, and we were really able to experience the local Jamaican life. Now the week with Cutty was absolutely fantastic. He kept a close eye on all three kids as well as helping us with anything we needed. He knows everybody and really makes sure your stay is perfect. He can also take you to any excursion, so you do not need to pay for a "tour", just let him know and he will take care of you. He let my kids pick fresh eggs from his hens each morning and after spending a little time with him, he is just a fantastic person. Sharon and Ann Marie we great in the house. Sharon was able to cook breakfasts and dinners and they were fantastic. Sharon also helped us shop for groceries during our stay and everyone in our party loved her cooking. The pool at the house was used each day and the kids loved it. The house itself was in great condition and really is kept in great shape. The internet was down all week after a line got cut down the mountain so that was a bummer but we lived without it and did not skip a beat. Overall my family loved out time and Jamaica and we would rent this villa again!

I am a native of St. Ann, Jamaica having been born and raised in the Exchange District of Ocho Rios. I migrated to the United States as a teen and today reside in Jacksonville, Florida. It was a dream come true to go home to Jamaica and purchase Cabarita Lookout Villa in 2018. The beautiful view and serene atmosphere are what attracted me to this property, and it is a pleasure to be able to share it with our guests.

Cabarita Lookout Villa has one of the most spectacular views in all of Jamaica. We are located about 30 minutes from Ocho Rios in a quiet community atop a hill, sitting adjacent to Noel Coward's estate 'Firefly.'

We are close enough to Ocho Rios to enjoy its fine dining, shopping and beaches, yet far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet our hilltop perch affords. Cabarita Lookout has unobstructed views the Caribbean Sea and northern coastline, yet we are surrounded with lush vegetation on site including banana, mango, lime, papaya, and ackee trees. Our caretakers, Cutty and Sharon, have also planted a vegetable garden which provides fresh lettuce, tomatoes, squash, and beans. Cutty goes to the sea for fresh fish and lobster and Sharon adds the fresh fruits and vegetables from our land. Cabarita Lookout Villa is a unique property that provides the perfect getaway for those looking to experience the natural beauty of Jamaica, with a view you'll remember forever.

Your stay includes onsite cook / housekeeper and driver / security guard. Access to entire property, including our dozens of fruit trees and vegetation that you can help yourself to anytime. One private, meticulously kept pool and multiple verandas for true indoor / outdoor living.

Van and driver are available 7 am to 9 pm during your stay. Complimentary pick and drop off from Montego Bay Airport are included in the price of your stay. Additional trips to the airport are at an additional cost or shuttle reservations can be made for you (costs paid to the company).
