About the host
Hosted by Elaine Cross

I recently retired and this has given me the time to be able to travel, which I've always wanted to do. I love catching up with friends and family and enjoy eating out frequently. Having become a grandmother earlier this year has added a whole new dimension to my life, and I love going to visit them regularly.
Why they chose this property
East Victoria Park has a thriving community. I used to come and visit the area on the weekend where they have food vans & entertainment in the local park on Friday evenings in summer, and markets on Sundays where I'd buy my fresh vegetables for the week. I have always eaten out a lot in the East Victoria Park/Victoria Park area and so when I sold my house in the hills, I knew where I wanted to down-size to, and I wanted to be really close to cafes and restaurants.
What makes this property unique
The apartment has a lovely large balcony. I like to entertain and eat outside in the evening, and the view from the balcony of the city and the sunsets really attracted me to this property.
