Beautiful house with everything we needed. Very comfortable and lovely extra touches. Fresh flowers in every room. Thanks Amanda
A truly gorgeous, historic house in the most beautiful setting, filled with thoughtful touches. My husband and I stayed for three nights with our dog, and we couldn't have picked a better spot from which to explore the Forgotten World Highway. Amanda left us fresh flowers, was very easy to communicate with, and even took us on a hike to an old mill tunnel on her farm, which we loved! The house is charming and comfortable, with plenty of space and even an adorable resident cat, Kitten. Plan for plenty of time to just sit on the deck and enjoy the beautiful view out over the farm. Thank you, Aaron and Amanda, for a wonderful getaway!
Mill House is a beautiful villa set on a working farm on the Forgotten Highway. Lovingly restored and well equipped for a totally relaxing and comfortable stay. Great hosts , including the resident cat.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Cute as, well presented old cottage that was a perfect stop-over place.
It was lovely to be welcomed by Amanda at Mill House after a long day travelling. The cottage was comfortable and very cosy with the fire blazing. Amanda had thought of everything we would need for our stop over in this remote but peaceful spot and we loved her extra touches with plants and flowers dotted around. The cottage had been tastefully redecorated and the bed was very comfy.
If travellers are in this area we would definitely recommend you stop over and enjoy this magic spot.
Great Hospitality, Clean & Comfortable. Great Communication from Host. Highly Recommend Stay on the Forgotten Highway.
Mill House is on an active farm. Sit back and enjoy the rural outlook. Ask us about our tunnel walk - a moderate hike to a milling tunnel that was constructed in 1924. A 15 minute drive will take you to Whangamomona, an village rich in history including the iconic Whangamomona Hotel. Get you passport stamped and enjoy a hearty meal and a cold beverage. Other local attractions include Republic of Whangamomona Mini-Putt, Mt Damper Falls (45mins from Whangamomona) or ride the railway with Forgotten World Adventures (bookings essential).
