A secluded private getaway, tucked in the hills of Raemaru
About Poko Rongo
Kia Orana and Welcome to Konaki! We are your host - Poko, Moana and Konini Rongo. This is a new business venture for my children and I but we are no strangers to hosting visitors, as this is common in our family. We are proud of the Cook Islands and its simplicity but cleanliness; our people, our smiles, our community; our beautiful and our spectacular nature and views, I wouldn't change it for the world and am forever grateful to be able to have raised my children here. Best spots?! Moana and Konini my 2 young adult girls can give you the latest and greatest of the best spots on Rarotonga and the best places to eat too. We are here to be as involved as you want us to be (depending on our full time jobs) or just in the background to provide you with relevant information. Enjoy Konaki. Enjoy the Cook Islands.

Why Poko Rongo chose Arorangi District
Konaki is situated on the West-side and the people are known to have an extremely close community. Almost everyone is related! Below the villas is the Raemaru Sports Ground - where rugby, netball, soccer are often played. As Konaki is up on the hill you can often hear the crowd cheer when an event is on. Raemaru trek is close by and the hospital hill is another great walk/ run to take to keep fit while on holiday. Konaki is also close to the Edgewater Resort, Crown Beach Resort where you can join them in their buffet and a la carte dinning. Beluga Cafe, is new and extremely popular with the locals and tourist too.
What makes this Studio unique
This property is brand NEW, up in hill away from the everyday traffic. Konaki provides an ultimate privacy and relaxation for our guests. Lie in bed in peace, in a comfy king-sized bed without worrying about anyone passing through your doors. Living among the locals is a great way to really experience the culture of the country you are visiting, as well as being free from noisy holidaymakers. Who wants to be look like a tourist anyway? With a villa rental you can eat what you want, when you want, meaning you don’t miss out because you’ve got plans because there is a kitchenette to store and cook your food. Food is one of the greatest things about travel, finding the delicious local delicacies you dream of. Cooking yourself you can source fresh and local ingredients that are perfect for meals, rather than the repetitive buffet style meals served at many hotels.

Great Villa on the west side of Raro! Awesome hosts and great Village!
I would definitely return to stay in this Villa. All the essentials are provided in this comfortable, modern and stylish Villa which is set in the hills under the Raemaru mountain in the Arorangi district. Great view of the Island and Ocean and close to a great cafe called Beluga. The deck is fantastic and provides a great area to sit in the morning and in the afternoon to watch the sunset. The outdoor furniture is of excellent quality. Comfortable bed and pillows and all the essentials were provided. Well stocked kitchen with a microwave oven and two gashobs to cook on. Hosts provided mosquito repellent to be used in the Villa and to spray on your body and I didn’t get one bite while I was there. The windows all have nets on them and a ceiling fan so you can stay cool throughout the day and night. All essential information about then Villa and your stay in Raro is provided by the hosts with a phone in your room to make local calls. There are lots of animals around the property which is great but remember to bring your silicon earplugs to wear at night as they make noise all night. I was pre warned about this and had great sleeps with the use of the ear plugs but also got use to it after a few nights. Overall excellent Villa, awesome friendly hosts and a welcoming neighbourhood. I would definitely return to stay here and wish Poko and her family all the best. Kia orana!!
Our Rarotonga Break Away
Kia orana Poko, thank you so much for the beautiful accommodation, it was exactly as the photos. It was very comfortable but would of liked a small desk and chair to work off, great to have the modem for internet as well. Would of liked also a couple of lounge chairs inside as my husband found sitting in the cane chairs there were abit to hard after awhile, that was ok, he just went and lay on the bed and went to sleep. My mistake for not reading the email on how to get there, abit of a goat track to drive but it was an amazing view to look out too(if you cut down that coconut tree in front it will be even better), and fill in the pot hole in the drive way too. We both enjoyed the peace and quiet(other than the roosters, goats and pigs) which were all very entertaining. The kitchen size was perfect for us to cook meals, and your daughters were very helpful in bringing us extra towels for swimming, thank you once again, and look forward to coming back.
Kia Orana and Meitaki maata for leaving your comments. We truly enjoyed meeting you both and loved your vibrant and down to earth personalities. We are actually in the process of placing a couple of sun loungers on the deck for the comfort of guests so they can either enjoy the sun or the cool breeze on the balcony.
We look forward to meeting you again and welcoming others to stay at Konaki Villas.
