Quaint Country Farm House On 20 Acres, 25 minutes to Bethel Woods (Woodstock)!

Very charming 3 story house in a beautiful valley on a dirt road. 25 minute drive to Bethel Woods (Original Woodstock). 15 minutes from a small town (Callicoon, NY) that has everything, including a first-rate movie theater, and an upscale restaurant, tapas wine & beer bar.

There’s almost no car traffic on the quiet, dirt road. Foundation and feeling are that of a 100-year-old farm house. It was completely rebuilt 35 years ago and then renovated again 25 years ago. It’s framed by large back patio with a flower garden and a vegetable garden. It also has a large covered front porch which is wonderful on rainy days. The lawn is sprayed monthly for tics.

There are 3 full bathrooms, 1 on each floor. The bottom floor has its own private entrance to the road and has 1 bedroom and a bathroom.

The middle level has a kitchen, bathroom and open living room/dining room. The kitchen opens onto the patio at back of house and the living room opens to the covered porch at the front of the house. It has a wood burning stove which functions as a fireplace due to its position in the house.

The top floor has the primary bedroom with a queen size bed, a second bedroom with another queen size bed and a third bedroom with bunk beds.

It’s furnished in early American decor with much charm. It is cozy, casual and people find it very relaxing. In the winter there is downhill skiing 40 minutes away with an excellent ski school for both children and adults. In the summer there is horseback riding within walking distance. There’s also an excellent farmers market equal to the Union Square market in NYC. There is lake swimming and one can take swimming lessons at the community pool in Calicoon. Lastly, it is a 25 minute drive to Bethel Woods, which features performers like Bob Dylan, The Beach Boys, and Phish.
