Amish built, cozy, rustic Pinewood cabin in Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. This property is horse ready, with a cross-fenced paddock area with electric fencing, and 22 miles of maintained horse riding/hiking trails right off the property! Easy access to Big South Fork riding or hiking trails, Pickett State Park, Historic Rugby, and many other natural areas to enjoy! Trails feature waterfalls, and rock shelf overhangs. The cabin has one private bedroom with a full size bed, an open loft with ladder access and a queen size mattress. One bathroom, kitchen, dining, and sitting area. The private deck on the back offers a wooded view for relaxing and enjoying nature. A gas grill is furnished to prepare dinner out on the deck, and enjoy the scenery. Or, warm yourself by the fire pit, and gaze at the beautiful display of stars on a clear night!
The cabin does have Wi-Fi, and you may wish to place your phone setting on Wi-Fi calling to enhance cell phone service.
The cabin has a Roku smart T.V., with free stations, and availability to log into your streaming accounts. Also available are books, cards, and board games for your entertainment, if you should get stuck indoors!

Celebration of Life

We needed accommodations in the area for a celebration of life ceremony. Although the location was about 15 minutes outside of town, the accommodations worked out fine for our stay.

Warm and Cozy plus impeccably clean!

Cabin was just as described and pictures are accurate. The Christmas tree and lights were an unexpected and perfect touch! Everything was spotless and extremely clean. We can't wait to stay again during our next trip to Jamestown!

Privacy needed

My husband and I stayed in this cozy cabin while visiting family nearby, it was perfect! We were able to visit then come back to a nice relaxing cabin to ourselves. We had coffee in the mornings while watching birds and squirrels. We hiked on the trails then got ready for our busy days. Host was fast to respond with questions and cabin was well stocked. We are definitely using this cabin for every visit from now on.

Loyd Owen and Shanna O'Connor Owen bought this darling cabin as a weekend get away to ride horses, kayak, and hike. We quickly fell in love with the area, and relocated from the Nashville area to become full time residents. We now live just down the road from the cabin, and couldn't bear to part with it, so that allows us to share it with you! We have maintained the personal home like atmosphere and cabin charm that we so enjoyed. We hope you do, too!

I think we all need to take a break sometimes from the hustle and technology that has become the norm for our lives! Reconnecting with nature and the basics- walks, outdoor meals, conversation, outdoor activities- in a beautiful natural setting, can reset your spirit. The natural pinewood interior feels warm , relaxing, and inviting. You can enjoy the comforting amenities of beds, bathroom, kitchen, heat or AC, but still feel that rustic experience. I think after your stay, you will agree- this will be your Happy Place!
