About this property

Peaceful Sheep Farm in Austin - Pet Friendly!

If you love to be greeted by friendly, nosy sheep then this is the place for you! Welcome to our little farm! We love when our guests feel at home in our little farmhouse. Sit on the front porch with a cup of coffee while watching the sheep and horses graze. Sit on the back porch at night during the summertime and watch the beautiful fireflies! This is a place to relax and unwind from the the hustle and bustle while enjoying a little taste of farm life. We are approximately 35 minutes from Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport, 40 minutes from downtown Little Rock, and 20 minutes off I-40 and Highway 67/167. We are about a 10-15 minute drive from Cabot and a 15-20 minute drive from Beebe.

We currently have 8 sheep, 2 miniature horses, 6 goats, and 3 barn cats. We also have a sweet Boxer, Trooper, who loves to greet guests! Most of our animals are rescues and have the sweetest personalities. They each have a special place on our farm and are all part of the family!

You will have the entire house to yourself (it is approximately 1600 square feet), we stay in a tiny cabin about 80 feet from the main house. We want you to feel comfortable during your stay, we will give you as much privacy as possible. We do have to feed and care for the animals throughout the day so you’ll see us going back and forth to the barn. Their water hose is connected to the main home and sometimes we have to access the back area for one reason or another, but we try to keep it as minimal as possible and only as needed.

It is our goal to provide a warm and inviting home for our guests with as many amenities as possible. We provide bath towels, toiletries, cookware, a toaster, a microwave, a coffee maker (including coffee/creamer/sugar) and bedding! If you have any special requests, please let us know and we are more than happy to accommodate if possible.

We have a large front porch with a few benches, outdoor string lights, wind chimes, and a pretty view of the property and the pond in the front of our home.

We live on 5 acres in a more rural setting with a large, mature magnolia tree in the front yard, an older traditional barn, and plenty of nature surrounding us! We have pecan trees and lots of fireflies during the summer. We also have a back patio with chairs and string lights.

Although our farmhouse is older and has been loved throughout the years, we take pride in keeping it clean and tidy.

We have 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a king bed. We have a full bathroom with a shower and tub combo, as well as a second bathroom with a jetted tub (no shower).

Please note a few important details:

*If you have more than 4 guests, please message us as we have a large couch and a reclining couch if you need more space. There is no extra charge for extra guests (maximum of 6 guests total).

*All of our animals are friendly. The only thing we ask is that the animals are never chased, mishandled, or treated improperly. This can stress them out.

*This should go without saying, but there are livestock droppings around. 😅

*We do not have a covered parking area or garage, it is all open.

*As stated above, we take pride in keeping our home sparkling clean, but please be advised that it is an older home that was built in the 30's so there are obvious flaws and imperfections here and there!

*Although we do stay on the property, we respect that you are on vacation and privacy is important. We will provide you with our contact information in case you should ever need to call or text us for any reason! We always love to meet our guests if we happen to cross paths as well! 😊

*We want you to enjoy every aspect of your stay! We are laid back and enjoy opening our home for others to experience a little sample of small farm life!

*We do allow (and love) pets! We ask that that all pets are fully potty trained (or crated if not) and that they don’t get on furniture or beds.

* Since we do live on a farm in a more rural area, you may encounter bugs and wildlife that you may not be accustomed to, such as: Deer, coyotes, foxes, skunks, raccoons, possums, snakes, flies, mosquitoes, junebugs, wasps, carpenter bees, ticks, chiggers, spiders, etc.

We are the Loftons! Thank you so much stopping by to learn a little more about us. Bryan, my husband, was born and raised here in Arkansas while I was born and raised in California. We met 3 years ago and got married during the summer of 2018. We are best friends who decided to make our childhood dreams come true and start a little homestead farm. We both enjoy traveling overseas, spending time with our family and our animals, rescuing animals, and spending time together. We currently have 3 horses, 4 dogs, 5 sheep, 2 goats, 3 miniature horses, and 2 barn cats. Most of our animals are rescues and have come from neglectful and abusive situations. We purchased our older farmhouse that sits on about 5 acres and we are slowly, but surely, creating our forever home. We love opening our home so others can share some of the joys that we get to experience every day! We strive to provide a sparkling clean and welcoming home where you can relax and enjoy the peacefulness of country life.

Why they chose this property

What is better than nature and animals? You can sit on the front porch and interact with the horses or talk to Izzy, the very nosy cow.
