Located on the South-West side of Rarotonga, our home is meters from one of the best beaches on Rarotonga. A great place on the best side of the island for beautiful sunsets. Tapunui offers a no-frills accommodation with a unique style of design that has been built lovingly by our family, keeping the aesthetics of beautiful Rarotonga in mind. Within reach of the beach with ease.

Affordable family accommodation in Rarotonga. Great value for money, large home, great place to entertain and enjoy each others company. Close to great swimming beaches and the local bus is just metres away. Tapunui is located in a convenient location for families and groups.

Close to The Rarotongan Beach Resort if you are attending family or friends weddings, a private owned family home is a much better option to escape the noisy and busy resorts with the space, privacy and convenience of a home away from home.

Hidden Paradise

If you're looking for a beautiful spacious house, 2 levels, that is perfectly located to one of the most beautiful swimming beaches on the island, close to the only 24/7 supermarket, public transport and tour activities, with the freedom of being able to cook your own meals and have a homely dining experience ( instead having to get the whole whanau ready by a certain time to catch the buffet or reservation), this is the place for you. If you like animals, this is also the place for you, feathery compost disposal (free roaming chickens).Our host was amazing made us feel special. We will return again to this beautiful, peaceful and blissful space.

Outside Inside Gecko Sanctuary

Like living outside inside! Gecko galore! Took a bit to get used to them but they are harmless and help keep the mosquitoes at bay, especially with a very open home. We were met on arrival by lovely Estelle, but unfortunately she had no idea we were coming! We had no hot water for a couple of days due to cylinder being empty, but Estelle was quick to rectify it all and made us feel so welcome! She delivered fresh Pawpaw, Bananas, mint, water etc throughout our stay. She is full of information about where to go locally for food, entertainment etc. The beds were so comfortable, mossie nets vital. Thank you so much for your hospitality Estelle! Even though our week was full of wind and rain we still had an amazing time!!

Incredible hospitality

To put it simply, staying at Tapunui was one of the best experiences of hospitality we have ever experienced. Estelle made our stay such a delight. Her kindness and generosity made us feel really at home. We recieved fresh fruit from her nearly everyday. She taught us how to open coconuts and make fresh coconut cream, which was perfect for our pina coladas. I will definitely be coming back to Raro, even if its just to see Estelle and the home she has built and I will be recommending this place to all my friends and family. The house was so clean and was well equipped with everything we needed - the kitchen was fully stocked with cooking utensils too. The beds are so comfortable and the bathroom ensuites are excellent. This home is perfect for couples or large families looking for a comfortable, luxury holiday while getting a proper island experience. 10/10 - 5 Stars. Absolutely recommend
