Your host
My name is Iskra and I am a psychologist, 42 years old, Bosnian-born. I inherited Lake Fairy from my parents and use it now with my own family. However, since we live in Switzerland and are only able to sporadically visit Lake Fairy, my husband Hasan and I decided to put this lovely chalet on this booking platform and open it to likeminded people to enjoy this unique little treasure in the forest. Our close friends and neighbours Bojan and Dusan, whom I have known since childhood, are going to represent us and be your hosts in Plitvice. Both of them are also deeply rooted in Plitvice and are dear, wonderful friends. We are certain that you will be very well taken care of, making sure your trip to Plitvice and your stay in Lake Fairy will be memorable :-)
Why they chose this property
Dear friends, I would like to welcome you to this little, secluded chalet which has a very special place in my heart. I spent most of my childhood- winters as well as summers in Plitvice. I learned to explore flora and fauna and appreciate the overwhelming beauty of nature in Plitvice. Last summer, while enjoying my first morning coffee on the terrace, I spotted a mother deer with her two babies making their way through the garden deeper into the woods! If you are searching for a place to relax, immerse all your senses into the nature- its colours, sounds and smells, then Lake Fairy is the right place for you :-)
What makes this property unique
With its central position in the National Park, the Lake Fairy Chalet is close to the touristic hotspots: to the main Lake Kozjak it takes a circa 15 minutes walk, to the Big Waterfall circa 20 minutes and to the spring of "Plitvica" stream approximately 45 minutes. At the same time, the chalet offers privacy because it is positioned off the main village road (2 min.). There is a lovely terrace overlooking the forest woods where we as family enjoy our meals and our special time. Two fireplaces are at your disposal if you want some extra romance in the evenings. It will be worth it :-)
