Malo Blue is a spacious, architect designed villa with panoramic sea views over the Adriatic to the island of Brac. It is located 30 metres from the beach. Access is via private path down some steep steps.
Malo Blue featured in the programme 'Homes by the Med' which aired on the channel More 4 on Tuesday 21st March 2017.
As Malo Blue is a villa and not inter-connecting apartments there is a spacious kitchen and communal areas which is more than enough for groups of up to 8 people. The Villa is surrounded by a large, private, garden which offers privacy and space. There are a couple of undercover parking spaces off the road at the back of the garden. Situated on a private leafy path and steps Malo Blue is just 30 metres from the secluded Tice beach in Stanici and a further 5 minute walk further along the beach to the main Stanici beach (there are no roads to cross to reach the beaches). Malo Blue is 100m from grocery stores and restaurants in the village. The Villa can be approached through the garden from the parking spaces or through a gate off the path to the beach. A wrought iron fence runs around the garden. There is a distinctive, high, well lit entrance corridor, which is a great space to leave beach paraphernalia and offers privacy.
The entrance leads to a wide front door which opens onto a spacious hall with a fitted cupboard, bookcase and side table.
The hall opens onto the kitchen area to the right. Here the ceiling rises to the full height of the villa. A gallery landing looks down onto the dining area where there is a large table seating up to 10. A window runs from floor to ceiling flooding the room with light and offers a view of the sea and BBQ. There is a hob, oven, a large fridge with a small freezer compartment, a dishwasher and microwave. Shelves, drawers and cupboards house the kitchen equipment.
A chimney breast partly divides the kitchen area from the sitting area. This gives the impression of being separate spaces whilst still being able to see and chat to anyone in the living area. Three wide wooden steps on the left of the chimney breast lead to the sitting room. At one end there is a brick open fireplace and at the other end French windows which lead onto the large dining terrace.
In the living area there is a large L-shaped sofa, a two-seater sofa, upholstered ottoman and coffee table.
Leading off the hall is the master bedroom with a king size bed, fitted wardrobes, sea views and French windows leading onto the dining terrace. The ceiling rises from normal height by the French windows to almost full building height at the other side of the room.
There are two further twin bedrooms. They are both identical in size and layout with fitted wardrobes, sea views and access onto a terrace downstairs and balcony upstairs. Both rooms are spacious enough for a camp bed or cot in addition to the twin beds (you can get two camp beds or a camp bed and a cot, although there wouldn't be much floor space).
The twin room on the ground floor leads off the hall and has a French window which accesses the terrace to the side of the house by the BBQ.
A spacious shower room is to the left of the front door. Both shower rooms have good water pressure, an independent water heater, a wall heater, loo, basin, bidet, cupboard and a window.
A wide spiral staircase leads to a spacious first floor landing which has a fitted cupboard, book shelves and a semi-circular gallery which looks over the dining area. Off the landing is the second shower room, it is identical to the one on the ground floor but for the inclusion of a washing machine. Next to the shower room on the landing there is a door off to a part covered terraced which is good for drying beach clothes etc. Drying racks are provided.
The second twin room is across the spacious landing opposite the shower room and has a French window which opens onto a small balcony with views up and down the bay. All bedrooms, living and kitchen areas have sea views.
Malo Blue was originally designed and build in the 1970's. It is one of a kind. Commissioned by a Macedonian sweet manufacturer it was the first commission for a recently qualified architect from Sarajevo who became a well know architect in Split responsible for the design of many public buildings and shopping centres. Malo Blue offers stylish and spacious open plan living, with areas where guests can find privacy.
The large terrace has a shade canopy of bougainvillea and sail shades and runs the full length of the villa and round to the kitchen and BBQ. There is a large dining table and chairs as well as chairs and small table for drinks and sun loungers on the terrace. Steps by the BBQ lead down to a shady covered area under the terrace and a pebble terrace with sun loungers and a further dining table and chairs.
Malo Blue is well equipped. There are plenty of pots, pans, jugs, cutlery, crockery and glasses. It includes crockery and cutlery for babies and small children. There is also plenty of cooking equipment, serving platters, sharp knives. There are relevant, popular cook books using the ingredients you find in Croatia. We have lots of drying rack space for beach towels and washing.
