House in L'Estartit, Costa Brava, Spain - 2 Mins Walk to Large Swimming Pool, Gardens and Restaurant
About Vicki Debinney-Wright
I have been visiting Estartit for 40 years where my parents had an apartment. In 2007 my husband and I decided to buy a holiday home for our family (3 children) with my sister and her family and we have been visiting 2 or 3 times a year since then. This is my sister and I on our balcony with the lovely sea view.
Vicki Debinney-Wright purchased this Villa in 2007

Fantastic family holiday!
We have just left this lovely holiday home and we are already contemplating our return. The house is lovely, especially the big balcony and our kids really enjoyed having a comfortable lounge to chill out when it was really hot. L'Estartit is busy and vibrant, lots of cafes and restaurants, beach bars and a fab beach. The pool is so super wirh the most breath taking views! We loved the surrounding area, particularly Empuries and Sant Marti, it was a super holiday and we can't wait to return. Thank you!
Lovely property in a great location, plenty of space for a family
Clean, tidy and well maintained, the house is comfortable and spacious - we travelled as a family of 4 and there was lots of room so we didn't ever feel on top of each other. It has all the facilities you'd expect to allow self catering. The location is perfect - Lestartit is a lovely town with a great beach. We also explored a gorgeous medieval town on the doorstep along with the stunning botanic gardens nearby. A car is a must though really - the location in the hills makes for absolutely stunning views across the valley from the lovely pool but wouldn't fancy the windey walk down to the supermarket and back! The pool is only a few steps down the road from the house and was never busy while we stayed - we had it virtually to ourselves one afternoon. It's clean and we'll looked after too - the restaurant there serves a mean paella too if you don't fancy cooking or driving into town! Would recommend this property -You'll have a great holiday.
Hi Amanda, glad you had a lovely holiday. Thank you for the great review.
Good size good location
The property was up to expectations. The property was not clean and the bathroom toilet had been used and not flushed.Very roomy for four adults and a vey good location.
Special interest holidays:
L'Estartit is well known for its excellent diving and snorkelling around the Medas Isles. There are several excellent dive schools to choose from in the town which cater from beginner to the experienced diver.
The fantastic beach of L'Estartit is within a 5 minute drive. It is one of the best beaches in the Costa Brava and stretches for miles. The beach is never crowded, and is very safe for the children.
Ryan Air operate 'cut-price' flights to Gerona from most UK airports. Gerona airport is a 45 minute drive from the house. Car hire is certainly recommended, and can be booked with your flights at a discounted rate through RyanAir. The drive from Calais to L'Estartit is approx 900 miles.
The local town of L'Estartit is a 5 minute drive away, where you will find numerous restaurants, bars and shops. Gerona is approx 40 minutes away and Barcelona will take approx one and a half hours by car.
L'Estartit is a charming 'old fishing village' which has retained much of its original charm. It has not been over-developed and has plenty of activities to keep the whole family entertained. Golf, diving, glass-bottom boat excursions, shopping, restaurants, water-parks, and a fun-fair for the children are all within easy reach.
