If you can tear yourself away from the views & swimming pool, there is a wealth of activities for people of all ages to enjoy. The medieval village of Óbidos is only a 15 minute drive away. Caldas da Rainha is 20 mins away with lovely shops, & with Lisbon less than an hour away, there is plenty to sate the appetites of culture vultures & shopaholics alike. For young & old adventurers there is a wide variety of watersports to choose from locally, plus paintballing, quad biking, horse riding, golf & tennis academies. The 5 star Marriott has a wonderful spa & is just a short stroll along the beach for a blissful massage. The clubhouse & hotel are within easy walking distance There is a good supermarket 10 mins drive away & superb restaurants close by, many with take-away service if you'd prefer to dine on the terrace & watch a glorious sunset over the ocean.
There are steps leading down to the property, so may not be suitable for young children or people with mobility issues.

Wonderful stay

Really lovely property with the convenience of a walk to store and restaurant a few mins from doorstep. Extremely private. Views were magnificent. Stairs inside and outside gave us much needed exercise. Thanks you for the memories.

Great Property in Excellent Location

Very comfortable and clean property with nice view of the ocean. Has small market within easy walking distance. Good restaurant also within easy walking distance as well as the nearby Marriott Hotel. Property is within easy driving distance of Obidos and other attractions. We enjoyed visiting monasteries at Alcobaca and Batslha and the caves at Santa Antonio and Alvados. Siobhan responded very quickly to any concerns we had. Excellent property

We are a family based in the UK. Together with our three children, we enjoyed many holidays in Portugal prior to buying our townhouse in Praia Del Rey. Our only disappointment is the lack of time we get to spend there!

Why they chose this property

We were attracted to Praia Del Rey by the relatively unspoiled area. It's less touristy than the Algarve & is home to the most friendly of Portuguese people. There are many typical little Portuguese villages close by, with a range of festivals & galas. The most famous one being the medieval town of Obidos which is certainly worth a trip. In July they have a Medieval Festival, August Opera, & in March, a Chocolate Festival!
Praia Del Rey was our first holiday with children, when we actually came home feeling refreshed! Despite being a 5* resort, everything is very relaxed & casual.

What makes this property unique

We consider our location to be the best in the resort with unbeatable Ocean & Golf views, the Beach Village on our doorstep, & so many activities on offer. If you prefer to simply relax & take in the view you couldn't be better placed.
We have equipped our home to offer guests a truly relaxing home from home experience.
We spent several years searching for the perfect holiday home & we really think we found it!
