Great location but....

The location is great being a short walk to the beach and pier and a great range of small shops. The Red Lion pub on the corner of the street is excellent. There are two pubs, one at either end of the street. It didn't bother us as we were out in the evenings but it's worth being aware that it can be noisy up until about midnight (we were there at a weekend). The property is tiny with low door frames and very steep, windy and shallow stairs. The entrance via the rear of the cottage would benefit from being lit at night .The kitchen is a small galley style kitchen. It does have the appliances as stated but the equipment and utensils provided are limited, shabby and in need of a good clean before using. The hot water tap could only provide lukewarm water. The bedroom is a good size but the pillows need replacing and the fitted sheet needed to be the correct size for the bed as it kept coming off! The bathroom is a reasonable size and was generally clean. Shower cubicle is small and showing signs of wear and tear. How water was not dependable. Parking is difficult, particularly for loading and unloading. The recommended streets are residential and we could not find any space close to the cottage. Overall, fantastic location but the cottage itself needs some updating and TLC.

Excellent location and quaint property

Loved the quirkiness of the property and the cebtral location - perfect for a long weekend. The cottage could do with a deep clean (a lot of old dust around) and perhaps a lick of paint and the mattress could be replaced. But otherwise it was a great spot

Excellent location just needs more care.

The property was small, we knew that when we booked , so it was fine for us for 3 nights. I had seen some bad reviews and was worried, but it was ok. It does look grubby and with a bit more care would be well rated. Clean the bedroom grate, clean under the shower rollers and always clean the crockery. I didn’t expect to have to scrub all the mugs before we could use them ! Maybe invest in a deep clean if you are hoping that people will return.

Fisherman’s Cottage is situated only a two-minute walk away from the beach and Cromer Pier. The grade II listed seaside pier is a traditional Victorian pier and stands at 151-metres-long. It was also the award-winning Pier of the Year for 2015 by the National Piers Society. One of only five UK seaside piers with a full working, flourishing pavilion theatre and home to the only end of pier show of its kind in the World!

Cromer has a huge sand and shingle beach and is a brilliant place to soak in some beautiful coastal views, perhaps on a morning or evening walk. The beach is very popular, and if you plan on spending a day at the seaside there’s a whole host of fish and chips shops, ice cream parlours and all the seaside goodies you could ask for.

All amenities are within easy walking distance from the cottage. Restaurants, cafe’s, pubs, shops, and public transport are all just minutes away on foot.
