About Chronis Stavrinos
I grew up in Athens and I studied mechanical engineering in Germany (Karlsruhe). I live and work in Athens
Chronis Stavrinos purchased this Villa in 2005
Why Chronis Stavrinos chose South Aegean
My wife and I travelled in Andros for many years. We bought this piece of land many years ago and we decided to build our holiday house less than a decade ago with much love and with respect to the surrounding nature and to the local neo-classical tradition of the wealthy houses of the nearby villages. The whole decoration was made from my wife with an excellent result. My dream is in the future to live the whole year in this house in Andros which offers the combination of breathtaking views, modern amenities, privacy, luxury and comfort.
What makes this Villa unique
The combination of breathtaking views, modern amenities, privacy, luxury and comfort makes this villa an exceptional holiday spot

A DREAM HOUSE FOR A DREAM HOLIDAY IN ADROS
WE HAD A WONDERFULL HOLIDAY IN A DREAM HOUSE, ISOLATED AND QUIET, WITH A SPLENDID VIEW OF THE SEA
A memorable family vacation
For the first time ever, our entire family -- six adults and two children, three generations -- gathered in Greece this summer for a week's vacation. Villa Apoikia was the perfect place for us, comfortable and quiet, with incredible views and a variety of hikes, just a few miles from Andros town and our favorite beach. The home is architecturally impressive and beautifully set up for guests, with a safe garden for the children to play in, adequate cooking facilities, and very gracious hosts. Villa Apoikia has our highest recommendation.
Great hospitality, excellent value for money
We rented the villa for a week for 9 persons and we enjoyed it thoroughly! The villa is beautifully decorated in cozy country style - the pictures do not do it justice! The description of the villa is very accurate - it has three bedrooms on the ground floor and one suite on a lower floor which still has full natural lighting. The kitchen was well stocked with all the equipment we needed including espresso maker, microwave, etc. We had a lovely BBQ outside on the patio - you could choose from gas or charcoal grill.
The owners, Chronis & Kali, are wonderful and very helpful - they gave us advice on restaurants, attractions, etc.
The villa is secluded on a mountain on its own - so if you enjoy peace and quiet - this is the place to go. It has a lovely garden and wonderful views of the nearby villages and sea.
For us, the location was also excellent because it was close enough to go to Chora in a 10 minutes and the lovely beach of Piso Gialia. We enjoyed the walk to the waterfall in Pithora - just in Apoikia village. We also enjoyed a visit to the cave - FOROS - in Alladinou. The island is windy though! The villa needs no A/C as it is always cool especially at night!
We highly recommend this villa for anyone that wants an luxury accommodation at affordable rates. I would recommend the option of including wifi possibility as an optional extra feature.
Thanks again Chronis & Kali!
What a nice place and what a sweet home !
We spent a week in this splendid house, welcome by the owner as Family coming for vacation.
So many things to say, first we arrived in a great area, with a nice view all around and in front of the sea. Then we get in this splendid house designed with taste and delicacy.
Every room is specific with bathroom where you can spend a lot of time !
I really felt the same way I feel home, walking in the garden done and worked as a diamond.
PS: I have no link with the owner :-) but really appreciate the way he welcome us in Greece.
My opinion is Yes you can rent without any trouble with house.
Andros, the most northerly of the Greek Cyclades islands, is known for its lush vegetation, distinctive historic architecture and stone-terraced hillsides. The 144-square-mile island is green and mountainous with pretty, secluded bays on the east and larger, more developed beaches and resort towns on the west. Andros is located in the Cyclades and its about 2.5 h from Athens Airport (port of Rafina). The villa is a situated 400 m above the sea level with a panoramic sea view. Andros is the greenest among all the Cycladic islands. Andros is also famous for its numerous springs.Close by are numerous beaches and other settlements connected by a network of footpaths. Just 4 km by car is the Andros capital (Chora). Chóra (sometimes also called Andros), on the east side of the island, is really a whole world of difference. This town is very picturesque,
Situated on a protruding rock, between the beaches of Nimborió and Parapórti. The long, central street, with marble pavement is a pedestrian area. It runs between beautiful, large houses and along a couple of pleasant squares with peaceful restaurants and many zacharoplastía (pastry shops). This street goes all the way to the summit of the protruding rock, with remnants of the Venetian kástro, established in 1207 by Marino Dandolo. Especially in spring and autumn Chóra is a haven of peace. The town boasts of imposing Neoclassic architecture, museums of international fame, such as the Museum of Modern Art and the Archaeological Museum. There is also a Naval Museum since Andros has a great maritime tradition. The town also features a number of restaurants, bars, nightlife and a delightful outdoor cinema. The island offers many local tavernas offering delicious traditional food, various monuments, Byzantine monasteries and churches, and superb natural environment. It is a green island, with a lot of water, many beaches and emerald blue sea. Added to that, a visitor can combine the worldliness or tranquility of the nearby sea with the wildlife of the mountain.Whoever wishes to know the authentic Andros, they need do no more than hike the trails.
The Island of Andros has been voted the No 1 for European Islands by the European Ramblers Association, who gave Andros the sign Leading Quality Trails, Best of Europe, This house is perfectly located to connect with the hiking network.Andros is truly a trekkers paradise more information see: http://www.cycladen.be/AndrosEng.htm. Andros has long been known to the selected few for its off season hiking trips and Villa Apoikia is ideally situated for such holidays.
You can reach Gavrio, the main port of the island, by a boat from Rafina (distance 37 n.m.). The trip takes 2 hours (1 hour by a fast ship). There is a frequent service, which intensifies during summer
