Rural retreat with views of Pendle Hill
Rural retreat with home from home comforts, great Wi-Fi which was a must for my gaming son, wonderful Host Catherine, nothing was any trouble and a very welcoming lady. Property was warm with all mod cons, with spectacular 360 views. If your a walker or mountain biker this property is central to Pendle, Halifax and local canals, three miles to Burnley which has all the usual shopping essentials and a local inside market. Will definitely come back - 5stars plus

A lovely last-minute break
The upstairs lounge could do with some modernisation, as could some other areas, and with children, definitely need decent WiFi on the property - but apart from that, we had a wonderful time - so many places to visit, and tons of things to do. Catherine, the host, was very helpful and friendly.

I have owned Herd House since 1989 running a riding school I then converted the stone barns in the lower yard into holiday cottages the first one Delph Cottage was done in 2003 two further cottages followed in 2010, since having the property as holiday cottages we have met a lot of lovely people from all over the world.

Why they chose this property

Delph Cottage spacious, the 2 ground floor bedrooms and a shower room makes this property disabled friendly, on the first floor there is a very large lounge a further bedroom with an en suite.
