Awful damp cottage

Damp smell as soon as door was opened. Everything smelt and was damp to touch, including beds & towels. Furniture very shabby & old, looked dirty. Wouldn’t have sat on sofa without our throws. Old kitchen utensils & crockery. Jacuzzi not working. Very unsatisfactory week. Only the lovely location was good. Not a cottage I think you should advertise 🙁

July stay in Southwold

A quaint cottage, lovely kitchen and other facilities good. Didn’t expect stairs to be so steep with inadequate handrail. Also the step from the doorway to lounge was very deep and even any slight mobility problem would render this dangerous. I think these issues need to be in the cottage description.

Mice in property

We had mice in the property, on the sofa & in the bathroom. No one would visit us & we were concerned about hygiene. We reported this & was given a very poor refund. Not even the daily rate we paid for the cottage. Because of this I will not be using Suffolk Secrets again & everyone I tell about the mice in the property are shocked & would not use yourselves either. Very poor & disappointing after service
