Keepers Cottage, a former Victorian gamekeepers cottage situated in the hamlet of West Barsham, dates back to 1848. It has been tastefully renovated throughout and retains many original and characterful features, including a stunning beamed 27ft lounge with snooker table. The property is surrounded by open countryside with an abundance of wildlife, and wonderful country walks can be enjoyed directly from the cottage. Wells-next-the-sea is just seven miles away.

Boasting four bedrooms (master en suite) and a spacious family bathroom, this "home from home" has an abundance of space. On the ground floor, there is a large open plan kitchen and dining area, with a large table providing ample seating for everyone. The stunning lounge, with patio doors and also a snooker table, is the perfect place for families to relax and spend quality time making wonderful memories.

This rural hideaway, approached via a no-through country lane, is the perfect location to unwind after discovering the delights that North Norfolk has to offer. The enclosed gardens, with large lawn, alfresco patio dining, and secure gated parking area (2/3 cars) are for the exclusive use of Keepers Cottage guests, making it safe and secure for all the family. Within easy reach of Wells-next-the-Sea, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the heart of the North Norfolk coast.

Lovely base for a holiday in Norfolk

Great holiday in Norfolk

Lovely holiday in Keepers Cottage. Shower excellent but a rubber bathmat would improve safety. Sadly kettle leaked and the microwave was under powered for family use. Wifi was sadly missing! Suggestion - the removal of a small section of the garden would make loading and unloading of cars much more convenient.

a wounderful family holiday.

We all had a excellent holiday at this lovely holiday home. It's located in such a great quite area of Norfolk but with in a 10 min drive to the coast. The house was lovely and spacious for two familys of four. Although there is need for a bigger fridge and more hot water for eight people there was not enough. All bedrooms where great and the kids loved there beds but both double beds could do with new mattress as they were not great. We would definitely recommend this lovely house for a value for money holiday . Just needs a few updates and it would be perfect.

Review

Property in a great location - peaceful but reasonably close to main roads. Plenty of crockery and kitchen equipment. Occasional low flying by military aircraft in evenings - interesting rather than disturbing/noisy. We took a gazebo to place over the outside table and this meant we could eat out most nights.
