Fabulous 2 bedroom apartment with large warp around terrace. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, master bedroom ensuite. Masterbedroom has a double bed, 2nd bedroom 2 single beds, and also has a sofa bed in the sitting room. Ideal for 4/ 5 pax, 6 at a push if you have two small children. Sitting/dining room, fully fitted kitchen with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven, ceramic hob, microwave. Both sitting room and master bedroom lead out to the large terrace which overlooks the communal garden and pool area. Marble floors, air con hot and cold, wi fi and satelitte t.v. (exact channels cannot be confirmed as these can vary pending on time of year).
Cala Azul is an enclosed complex and has two pool areas both with an adults and childrens pool each. Location is excellent as you can walk to all amenities and has a Lidl on it's doorsteep. Cala Azul is in a small town called La Cala de Mijas an old fishing village, it has a long sandy beach with plenty of little Chiringuitos which are restaurants on the beach and specialise in local fried fish and most with sunbeds to lie back and soak up the sun with a nice cool beer, plenty of restaurants around the town ranging from Spanish Tapas, Italian, Indian, Chineese, Thia, International, cafes, supermarkets, bars, shops. The Town has an openair market twice a week on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.
La Cala is an ideal place for Family Holidays as most of the rerstaurants are child friendly and there is a really nice large park which is open until late at night in the summer, there are also Trampolines and an Inflatable Water Park during the summer months. Close by in Fuengirola you have a large Water Park and Zoo.
For Golfers, La Cala is also an ideal location. You can even walk down to play at La Noria Golf which is a very popular 9 hole Golf Course and within a 10 minute drive you can play at La Cala Resort with it's 3, 18 hole courses, Mijas golf with 2, 18 hole courses, El Chaparral, Calanova, Santanta, Miraflores, all with 18 holes or more and Cerros de Aguila another very popular 9 hole course, and La Siesta. La Cala is only 20 minutes from the centre of Marbella and between La Cala and Marbella you can play at , Cabopino, Santa Maria, Rio Real, Santa Clara, Marbella Golf. Up to one hour's drive only and you can venutre a little further to the Golf Valley of Nueva Andalucia (30 min drive) to play on Los Naranjos, Las Brisas, Aloha, or La Quinta Golf, then on the way to Valderrama in Sotogrande you can take in Atalaya, Los Flamingos, Finca Cortesin, Estepona, Sotogrande, La Reserva, Almenara and many more. Now you can understand why they sometimes call the Costa del Sol, Costa del Golf.
La Cala is only 10 minutes drive from Fuengirola and 20 to Marbella, 30 minutes to Puerto Banus. You have easy access to the main highway if you are driviing or want to take the bus so you can easily go off for the day.
Shopping on the Costa del Sol is also a great way to pass a day, you are close to two big shopping centres one in Fuengirola, Myamar and another called La Cañada, on the Marbella bypass which even has an Apple Store. All the Shopping Centres open from 10am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and during the Summer most of them also open on a Sunday. Both the centres of Fuengirola and Marbella are also great for shopping, but, some of the shops may close for Siesta from 2pm to 5pm and open until 08.30pm (times can vary from shop to shop).
Puerto Banus is famous for it's boats, shops and restaurants so you can combine people watching as all the Rich and Famous spend their holidays here and take in some shopping if you can afford it in one of the many designer shops.
Close to the Airport you will find Plaza Mayor which is a large Shopping Centre built like a little Town will all little streets and is currently under a big extension which will make it one of the biggest Outlets in Europe.
If you want to come and tour around Andalucia, then La Cala is an ideal centre point to stay, from here you can either drive off for the day or catch one of the many excursions which are organised. You can go to places such as, Grandad, Cordoba, Sevilla, Jerez, Ronda, Gibraltar or even cross the Med to Morocco for the day.
And as you are in Malaga, the birthplace of Picasso then a trip to the City is well worth a visit. Malaga is a beautiful old city and also has a Port, therefore, you can wander around the old part of the city with it's numerous pedestrian streets and visit many of it's historic sites, tapa bars, restaurants or down to the newly developed port and chill out overlooking the harbour.
