Location, location, location and TTL knows it

We stayed in this apartment back in June 2023 but I didn't feel like writing a review but I have been prompted to do so now. Reason being that I felt the price was too high but it is only the location you are paying for in my opinion. I chose this apartment mainly for it's closeness to the Metro, train station and transit buses and the supermarket. On the positive side: Mourad was prompt upon check-in, the apartment is very suitable for two people, it has nice ambiance, air-conditioning, floor to ceiling windows, comfortable bed. On the negative side (of which we had mentioned to Mourad previously): the toilet seat was loose (we were there in June and I read other reviews and the seat was loose back in April...), the outer door code didn't work for us (it was also mentioned back in April by someone else) at least we had a key, the door knob on the front door came off in my hand as we were getting ready to head out for the day, the Adidas store below us played music all day long and into evening...only two rolls of toilet paper for an 8-day stay, would have liked at least two more to start with. The vent above the dining table was full of dust, so any air would blow that into the unit. I did report these issues to Mourad and he was quick to respond HOWEVER only the door knob got tightened. The toilet seat, air vent remained the same. He did mention that he could bring someone in again but at that time, we only had a couple of days left of our stay. Stay again? Not sure

Great location in Baixa district

The flat is on the 2nd level (3rd if you count the main floor) of a centrally located building in the Praça dos Restauradores. It has an elevator. The picturesque building is right in front of a Lisbon Metro stop, taxis, Ubers, and across the street from tour buses. Visiting other districts is easy and the walks are interesting with lots to see and experience. The flat has air conditioning that works well with a spacious living room that has floor to ceiling windows that open to balconies that bring the outdoor ambience indoors but can be completely silenced with thick, solid wood shutters. If you plan to shop for groceries and regularly cook your meals, prepare to clean what you'll use and work with limited equipment. The bathroom is small. A rainfall shower head is located in the right spot in the ceiling but the half glass wall of the shower area means water will splash onto the floor no matter what you do. I ended up using the handheld shower head to control the overspray of water and avoid putting the limited number of towels down to absorb water. The bedroom is small but it has the same floor to ceiling windows and shutters that open up the space. The mattress on the bed is Ikea style and flat which made for uncomfortable sleeping. Noise from the flat upstairs is easily heard and EDM played daily (untz, untz, untz). Music starts at 10 am and stops at 10 pm. The property manager is fantastic and responsive!

Comfortable and Convenient!

The apartment was exactly what we expected: bright, spacious and clean! Excellent location, near everything. Great shower head and water pressure. The AC was effective. A clothes drying rack was a much appreciated surprise. Very good communication with the owners. Thank you for a very good base for our 10 day Lisboa wander in late April!

Furnishing and kitchen supplies were nice and apt was well-decorated. Shower was excellent however a shelf needs to be installed in the shower so shampoo, etc isn't on the floor. Bath, hand and dishwasher soap should be supplied for short stays. Thermostats were impossible to figure out even though Mourad turned them on. The bathroom door didn't close correctly and the toilet seat was loose. There were no pillow cases on the extra pillows. The biggest problem was the lock on the apt door was faulty and we were locked out two nights in a row. That was terrible but Mourad answered the phone and was able to arrive and fix the lock each time. He was very responsive and we really appreciated his help. Also the outer door code never worked but since Mourad had given us a key to the outer door we didn't have a problem.
