This well appointed terraced house provides an excellent all year round holiday base. Cromer carnival week is held the third week of August. Sheringham, 5 miles, for Splash Aqua Park and the North Norfolk Steam Railway. Felbrigg and Blickling (National Trust) stately homes within 20 minutes drive. Visit Blakeney for boat trips to see seal colonies and Blakeney Point (National Trust) nature reserve. Norwich and Norfolk Broads are within an hours drive. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

our time in cromer

clean and tidy well equipped could use a little T.L.C. photo used in advertisement well out of date there is no parking as advertised had to use car park over the road costing £8.50 per day location good for getting around but parking a big issue putting extra cost on our stay there

Good, but could be great

The accommodation was centrally located, comfortable and close to lots of amenities and it was great that basics like washing up liquid, laundry detergent, hand wash and cleaning materials were provided. However the furnishings are rather tired and the radiators weren’t working at all when I stayed. Although the house wasn’t cold (there is underfloor heating), it wasn’t exactly warm either as it was cold, wet, windy and wintry during my stay. The lack of heat was particularly noticeable in the bathroom and towels weren’t dry before you needed to use them again. I would stay again, but perhaps not in the winter.

We have visited The Retreat a few times now and always have a good time.

We have visited The Retreat a few times now and always have a good time. It’s a short walk to the sea, very close (walking distance) to Morrison’s to get a week’s shopping in, and close to the town centre. The cottage itself has everything you would need as it is well stocked with utensils, cooking pots and pans, plus a dishwasher and washing machine taking the strain off the jobs that nobody wants to do on their week off. It also has a second toilet which is so handy for a family. I would highly recommend this little house. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Very last minute booking.

This property is on a surprisingly quiet road with little through traffic and benefits from being right across the road from one of the towns largest car parks and week-long tickets are very economical. The town centre & beach we’re only a 5 to 10 minute walk away and very handy for the largest supermarket. Whilst the kitchen and utility room were well equipped and the bathroom had a good shower the bedrooms would benefit from some fresh/matching furniture and new mattresses and bedding. Wifi and a more modern TV plus DVD would also be beneficial for families with kids.
