Within a short drive there are walks at all levels, cycling, horse riding, fishing, sailing, canoeing, ghyll scrambling and golf. The towns of Keswick and Penrith are a 20-minute drive and the lake road takes you over the Kirkstone Pass down into Ambleside and Windermere. Shop 2 miles, pub 1 mile, restaurant 200 yards.

Between 1st October and 31st May there will be a surcharge for electricity calculated at the end of the week and payable to the owner. The first £30 is paid by the owner additional usage after this is paid by the guests.
