The cottage offers flexible accommodation and sleeps six over three floors. The site overlooks Newlyn Harbour and the wide, sweeping Mounts Bay. The historic town of Marazion is overlooked by St Michaels Mount rising from the sea on its proud little island. The Mount can be reached on foot by causeway at low tide and by small ferry boat at high tide. The property lies just 3 miles from the heart of Penzance, a historic port with its pirate heritage, art galleries, choice of restaurants, bars, cafés, and shops and sub-tropical gardens. You can take a day trip across to the beautiful Isles of Scilly by ferry from Penzance or by air from nearby Lands End Airfield. Take a stroll along the town’s streets and discover the characteristic pubs, top-notch restaurants, antique shops, art galleries and more, or have a wander along the promenade, grab some fish and chips and sit on the seafront. If you fancy something a bit different, enjoy one of the harbour boat trips, sea safaris or fishing excursions. There is so much to discover including Newlyn fishing harbour, with its working fishing flotilla, and quaint Mousehole (home of the Mousehole Cat, featured in a children’s book) with its winding streets, small harbour and beach. The fantastic beaches of Perranuthnoe, Lamorna Cove, Kenneggy Sands and Praa Sands are all located nearby. You can even hop on the scenic coastal train from St Erth in to St Ives and visit the Tate Modern Gallery or Barbara Hepworth Museum; the rugged north coast, with its wide surfing beaches; or travel 40 minutes to the stunning Lizard Peninsula, with coves and tiny harbours.
