Tucked away in the pretty coastal village of Northam just ½mile from the glorious wide golden sandy beach of Northam Burrows, The Shoe Box is the perfect romantic retreat to escape and unwind and the ideal holiday base to explore this stunning location. This quaint little cottage is well-furnished and is one of the oldest buildings in Northam, sitting peacefully within a small courtyard but just a short stroll from lovely restaurants, shops, bars and the beach.
The National Coastal Path passes close by and a short walk takes you to Royal North Devon Golf Club, The Northam Burrows Country Park and the stunning beach at Westward Ho! which is popular all year round with surfers and kiteboarders. The delightful North Devon coastal village of Appledore with its cobbled streets and bustling quayside is 1 mile and Bideford, 1 mile, offers town amenities and boat trips to Lundy Island.
Clovelly and Hartland Quay are close by and the area is a must for water sports, sailing enthusiasts and fishermen, whilst walkers and cyclists will enjoy the famous Tarka Trail which passes close by. Golf and riding are available locally. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
