Only the location is good
This apartment has a great location and that is the only good thing I could say about this listing.
A few hours prior to check-in I was told that I haven’t paid for my reservation and I have to pay it in full prior to checking into the apartment. I was even showed a document stating I paid zero dollars on my reservation which of course was not true because funds are being taken automatically prior to arrival.
After going back-and-forth with the manager it was clarified that I’ve paid for the reservation and then I was asked to pay some tourist taxes. I showed a receipt from the system stating the tuirist taxes have been paid but they insisted I had to pay upon arrival.
I made the mistake of not specifying how many guests are going to be staying at the apartment and once it was determined there will be two more guests in addition to me, I was told I have to pay extra for them as well. Nowhere in the description of the listing says that there is an extra charge for extra guests. So if you are booking the listing make sure you do your due diligence and make sure you know what you’re paying for ahead of time. The location is great but I would not book it again. The place was clean but it has the minimal necessities (no coffee, no soap...one towel per person)
I’ve trued to bring the matter to VRBO and request refund but I never heard from them.
Our stay in Barcelona was amazing despite this issue.
