About Michelle Carpenter
Our move to Tasmania from Adelaide SA in 2001 came about after a holiday to the unique island state. Tasmania has it all, natural beauty, clean air, green, easy-going lifestyle. Soon after purchasing our dream farm property we decided to open the Red Rooster Host Farm, so we could share with other people the special qualities our little slice of paradise offers.
Michelle Carpenter purchased this cottage in 2001
Why Michelle Carpenter chose Wyena
The secluded location is appealing to us, with only the relaxing sounds of nature. No noise from passing traffic, or neighbouring properties. The beautiful old mature trees, give a sense of history about the farm. The township of Lilydale is a convenient 10 km drive through the forest on a good gravel road, with all necessary amenities available. Launceston city is a relaxed, drive of 30 minutes away.
What makes this cottage unique
A special location with total peace only the sounds of nature to be enjoyed. A place for people who enjoy the simple, natural things in life. Native wildlife in a forest location. Walks into forest with creek & rain forest. Beautiful mature tree's within park-like grounds, some rare for this area of Tasmania. Friendly farm animals. Children enjoy the space to play & explore. Meeting our friendly farm animals is a treat for all who visit our farm. We are pet friendly too.
