A wonderful, charming and relaxing location to take a break from life or to party it up. Walking distance is Lake Galena where you can rent a boat to cruise around, go fishing, or dock at random places and explore the forest. Fish (lots of it) from the peer or rent a boat, enjoy volleyball, soccer, basketball and tennis courts, as well as one of the best Golf courses in the world! Nearby is Galena town with its civil war-era charm, private wineries with wine tasting every day, local cheese makers, unique sauces, sweets, as well as antique stores. Fine selection of restaurants, from fancy French, Italian, to small town diners and burger joints (one literally called 'Burger Joint', its awesome!). About 20 minutes away is the Mississippi river and town of Dubuque. There you can find vegas-style casinos. This is a great destination for a family vacation, or just a friends getaway to nature. We can house up to 20 people in 2 houses that are next to each other.

Nice country home

We chose this home for a senior family reunion. There was good wheelchair access to the main level and the interior areas of the main level, as well as one room with a handicap friendly bathroom and shower. 5 bedrooms with 5 bathrooms was definitely a nice feature and accommodated us all very well. The home was well furnished, with a nice kitchen, screened-in porch and deck. The hot tub worked great. I would definitely recommend this home for a family or group of adults.

Beautiful home

This is a beautiful home that my family stayed in for my daughters wedding in the area. The home is so spacious and comfortable. Was a great place to relax in the short down time we had between events for the weekend. The owner is very attentive and responds quickly to any questions that we had. Great place, great stay

Exactly as advertised. Went there with four couples on our annual Galena trip. This was the first time renting this house. This had enough bedrooms and bathrooms for all of us which was really nice. Had a nice deck, screened in porch, hot tub, all which got some use. We also played pool down in the basement. Location was great. We golfed, went to the marina, went swimming at the pool, girls went shopping downtown. Overall very nice house, we would rent again.

Nice property

This was a nice house that accommodated eight adults easily. We enjoy the open kitchen and living area, as well as the hot tub. The only downside is that the carpeting really needed a deep cleaning. A fresh coat of paint throughout would also do wonders. We would stay here again.

We enjoyed the house. Had another wonderful stay. House was clean and Tatiana was very accommodating. Could use a little TLC in some areas. Carpet and better towels. But I would recommend. Hot tub was very clean. Love the location. We will be back!
