Cute, quiet, private, little house.
Exactly as described. Very cozy. Quick walk to downtown. I would stay here every time I visit Flagstaff. The neighbors have messy yards, but that's not on the renter. My few concerns were: the Wi-Fi password in the binder was a little unclear. There were 4 written down and some were crossed out, but I think the book just needs a quick update to make it clear which one to use. Also, the doors don't stay closed due to it being an older house. Overall, great stay, easy instructions for check in and out, and awesome location.

Overall impressions
Overall adequate - however some major flaws Front door had large glass with NO curtain; likewise the huge front window NO blinds; very lacking in security and privacy- very transitional neighborhood; the neighbor to the right complete eyesore with junk and Rubbermaid tubs ALL over the yard. The property owner turned up unannounced on Friday evening. Just walked into the backyard where myself and friend were sitting at outdoor table. Unknown man with two women. TOTALLY inappropriate- he should plan his need to get in his garage around paying guests!!!! This is 100% unacceptable!!!!!! Hot water is awesome - however - scalding hot water comes out of kitchen sink AND since there is no dishwasher you have to hand wash the dishes. Need to turn down the hot water. House had super musty smell when arrived - since we pay a cleaning fee - it seems house should be clean smelling when we arrive. Please put key on a keychain. Perhaps upgrading to push button lock and/or at least two keys. Need to trim the trees over the driveway- they hang down and scrape the cars - very dangerous. Better lighting in kitchen.

Short stay
Everything was as expected. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The only suggestion I would make is to provide information about how to turn on the shower. We couldn’t get it to divert from the tub to the shower. May be the directions were in the welcome book and we did not see them. Overall, nice place and I would stay there again.

25+ year resident of Flagstaff, you'll find me all about town, with Sadie, my smiling yellow lab who goes with me everywhere. I currently am the caretaker of a 160 acre ranch. I am a visual artist, with a focus on painting and sculpture. I love good jazz and blues music. I love the energy of New York City, the galleries, the museums and I look forward to the day I can visit the Florence and Tuscany area, for the food and art. Recovering photographer.

Why they chose this property

Proximity to downtown and an upscale shopping area (both within walking distance) is one of the greatest benefits of this home, not to mention the historical charm of the home itself. Built in 1938, this cottage remains in excellent condition with all of the original craftsman woodwork. It's wonderful to be so close to it all! With private front and back yards, and a plethora of off-street parking, it's fun to sit on the front porch and watch the pedestrians walk by. A quiet, old time neighborhood, in the heart of it all.

What makes this property unique

You'll find the woodwork in this home, coupled with the updated granite counters in the kitchen and the clean tile work in the bathroom, appealing. Hardwood floors and a built-in outdoor BBQ next to the private, fenced backyard. Friendly, unique neighbors.
