restful, peaceful stay inn lovely surroundings
Lovely old farmhouse with beautiful pool. Perfect for families. Children loved the facilities.
The property, hosts and local town were amazing.
Mark and Maggie were so welcoming and Gus the dog was great with the children.
Highly recommend the Farmhouse, it was so well maintained and the grounds kept immaculate during the stay.
Mark and Maggie were available if we needed them but not obtrusive and they have fantastic facilities to use. The net and table tennis are on the grounds of the property but the pool is totally secluded and a sun trap (when it is out lol)
Would love to return and will be planning the next trip.
Thank you for a lovely stay x
2 week Family holiday
We had a fabulous 2 week Family holiday of 3 generations. Everybody really enjoyed themselves with everyone getting what they were looking for from our time away. The grandparents enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the chite in its beautiful surroundings. They enjoyed being able to watch the children play in the pool all day and run around playing with Gus the dog. The freedom the children had was brilliant. As parents we loved how the children were happy all day playing the pool being the focal point as we was there in the middle of a heatwave, so was great to cool off. We had some lovely days out at lakes and chateau's with plenty to see locally. We thoroughly enjoyed the half day canoeing we did. Lastly and by no means least ours hosts Mark and Maggie were absolutely brilliant. They couldn't of been more welcoming and were so friendly, kind and helpful our whole holiday. We couldn't of asked of any more from our holiday and would recommend highly to anyone. Segur-le-chateau is truly a beautiful part of France.
A wonderful holiday
We have stayed in many places in France but none have been as nice as this. A beautiful property full of charm, wonderful gardens and a fantastic pool (the best pool ever). The grounds are well kept, secluded and with plenty of activities for all. We enjoyed many an evening playing table tennis, boules, having a BBQ or swimming. The village is adorable and a lovely walk with nice bars by the river. The Monday eve village music and food night must not be missed, it was one of the highlights of our stay. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and there is lots to do including racing at Pompadour, kayaking in the Dordogne, lake swimming at any of the many beach lakes, or simply enjoying one of the three restaurants in Segur. Mark and Maggie are great hosts and helped us whenever we needed. We would love to return.
What a fantastic review, thanks very much for that and we so enjoyed your stay with us at Le Grangeau also. When we see guests really enjoying themselves, it makes all our efforts that much more worthwhile. Yes, please do come and stay with us again.
A lovely stay
We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Le Grangeau. Mark and Maggie are perfect hosts and gave us a lovely welcome. The girls loved the pool and playing with the dogs. The area is beautiful and we made the most of it on a couple of cloudy days. thanks again Mark and Maggie x

Beautiful setting,great facilities.
The house was perfect, close to lots of walks and Segur let Chateau. The pool was immaculate and formed the focus of our stay. Days out were easy and mark and Marguerite were very helpful pointing us in the right direction.
