Lovely cabin off the beaten path
The directions to get there were specific and accurate. The animal life was interesting and the stars amazing. It is a drive from Moab but worth it.

This is a lovely, peaceful place, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Beautiful views of the mountains and desert, away from Moab‘s busiest attractions but everything is still accessible.

Hi, I'm Teague! I've lived on this beautiful mountain for 25 years. This is the place of my heart, and I love sharing it with others. I am a Shaman healer. I have been practicing indigenous traditional healing for 25 years.
In 2009 I rescued a horse named Lucky, who had severe leg disabilities. He was my inspiration to start a non-profit animal sanctuary for special needs animals like himself. So, in 2010 I became the founder of Mt. Peale Animal Sanctuary.
Here on this mountain, I and the people who work with me have created a sanctuary for both people and animals. It gives me great pleasure to share this land, my home, with them and with you. I am grateful every day for this work, this mountain, the people and our animal family.

Why they chose this property

You know when you step onto this land that it is special. This land is filled with the energy of spirit, of healing and of service. Here at Mt. Peale, we believe in honoring the totality of life. The plants ,the animals, the land and the humans are inseparable. What befalls one effects the other. The spirit of this land has healed us, and so many others who have been guided here. We have found that this is the perfect place to come when one is at a crossroads. People who are searching, whether consciously or unconsciously, tend to find their answers here. We invite you to come and have sanctuary here among the people and the animals of this land.

What makes this property unique

We are a healing center and we do provide healing services such as Shamanic Work, Plant Medicine, Animal Healing, and much more. Not only are we a peaceful and cozy sanctuary for our human friends, we are also a sanctuary and home for special needs animals, such as horses, cats and dogs. We are a non-profit 501c3 rescue. If you are interested, we do accept volunteers for dog walking, feeding and watering horses, cleaning horse stalls and monitoring/playing outside with our special needs cat Bryan Love. Volunteer/tour times are 9AM and 5PM (Winter times may vary).Let us know before hand if you are interested in volunteering with us.
