About the home

"Alonda" is a stunning brand new 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home, with a 5 seater spa and plunge pool, and incomparable 180 degree water views out over Bore Beach to the ocean. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

Upstairs, the large main dining/living area featuring an amazing Chiminees cast iron fire in the centre of the room, reverse cycle split system, Wi-Fi enabled smart TV and is open plan with the modern, well appointed kitchen, with a Nespresso pod machine. Upstairs is also the huge main bedroom (with ensuite complete with 2 basins, twin shower and underfloor heating) and a separate powder room for added convenience.

Downstairs, there are three large bedrooms all with BIR and one with its own ensuite (and underfloor heating). The other two bedrooms share a large main bathroom with bath, shower, a separate toilet and underfloor heating. Also downstairs is the second living area with TV and reverse cycle split system .

Outdoor Areas

The upstairs covered rear deck with seating for 10 people, provides uninterrupted 180 degree views of the ocean - an amazing location for enjoying the stunning views. The downstairs covered rear deck leads out from the downstairs living area to the 5 seater spa and plunge pool. There is a double garage with under cover access to the home and parking in the driveway for 4+ additional cars or several boats.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Lavazza pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, walk in pantry, large fridge, dishwasher, 900mm electric oven, 5 burner gas cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

Each of the two living areas have reverse cycle split systems, every bathroom has underfloor heating and every bedroom has a ceiling fan and a column heater. Upstairs, central to the living and dining area is the stunning Chiminees Philippe, 2 sided, cast iron fireplace.

Bedroom Configuration

This home has 6 beds, plus a sofa bed, accommodating up to 10 guests:

Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One King bed
Bedroom 2 (Downstairs): One King bed
Bedroom 3 (Downstairs): Two King Singles and One King Single trundle bed
Bedroom 4 (Downstairs): One Queen bed

The downstairs living room has a double futon lounge suitable for 1 adult or 2 children.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Great location but..
Great location. Arrived at property to find that all the gas bottles were empty. No hot water and no cooking facilities due to no gas. 4 kids and family had showers in public toilets in Cowes. Had to follow up with property manager multiple times and don’t feel anything would’ve been resolved if I hadn’t followed up for the last time at 4pm before the office closed prior to the second night. Handy man finally sent with small LBG bottle as a temp fix. Frustrating that I had to follow up multiple times to be told it’s difficult because it’s a weekend and on the island. Kids beds stained and couches all need a steam clean. On arrival had to wash most crockery as it was dirty and in the draw. Pot draw most post still dirty covered in grease. Didn’t bother cleaning them as we had no gas so no ability use them and felt I shouldn’t have to be cleaning someone else’s mess. Bbq was dirty with a significant amount of grease build up below hot plates and needs to be cleaned. Definitely a fire hazard. Amazing location although I feel that the property needs a clean and cleaning and check processes reviewed. Gas bottles should be checked by cleaner and reported for replacement when spare is switched over. Over all great property but definitely expected a cleaner property and basic gas essentials for the price we paid. Shouldn’t have to be chasing basic maintenance on a property that I rented for a holiday. Do better!

Serenity and comfort
A great option for girl’s weekend, with amazing views and a fabulous spa and pool set up. Bedrooms are spacious, plenty of bathrooms, and a fairly well-equipped kitchen. Could be enhanced with some outdoor furniture downstairs near the pool/spa and some comfy chairs on the deck upstairs. Our stay coincided with a heatwave and the lack of air conditioning in the master bedroom upstairs meant the room was unbearably hot despite the ceiling fan and strategic use of blinds and windows. Despite this, the view and location were spectacular, and would definitely consider staying here again.
