Unclean, health and safely risk , as bathroom light on a 2 minute timer . Try having a shower after dark climbing out of a bath in pitch black!! Had to clean wardrobe before I could put my clothes in . When the host was informed she said she would tell the cleaner . All the house dirty . Kitchen cupboards broken. I like old homes but it shouldn’t be dirty . All the blinds broken . So couldn’t block out sun . No aircon .
The four of us enjoyed our stay at this house. It was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The location was great and the parks nearby were lovely for walks.
While the heating system was very effective, we did have a little trouble operating it without instructions.
Also, some of the cookware probably needs replacing.
Despite these small things, we love homes with character and would highly recommend Cobb & Co House.
Needs a little TLC. House could have been cleaner but overall we made the best of it and enjoyed our stay. There is beautiful park across the street and the botanical gardens within a 15 minute walk were amazing.
Fantastic position opposite a park and in a beautiful tree line street. The property cleanliness and general poor maintenance condition made for a very disappointing stay. The owner has been notified directly including photos to illustrate the issues. The tariff is definitely not justified and some part refund should be considered.

Adequate but tired
The property was clean and tidy though very tired. - though the dishwasher was unstacked upon arrival (as it stayed). Though the kitchen had modern appliances the cutlery, cooking utensils, glasses and crockery would be appealing in a 1960s - 80s museum (as long as matching sets were not expected). The main bedroom out the back was well presented and the bed comfy whilst the ensuite is modern, spacious and light filled, The other bedrooms rooms in particular the twin rooms are tired. The main 'period' bathroom was clean and presentable. Fantastic location and convenient to all that Sale has to offer. On balance I would recommend it to others as long as they don't expect all the mod cons.
The house was suitable for the multi generational group who used it whilst in town for a family reunion. Most of the meals were eaten at the pub rather than at the house so I don't know what cooking facilities are like. There was no tea bags or coffee provided.
There was a nice outdoor dining area and BBQ but it rained for us so we didn't use it.
Be aware that there is no mention of Wi-Fi at the property, and I don't think there is any.
I think that the property should have some instructions on site that includes Wi-Fi, local numbers and check out procedures like what to do about laundry and rubbish when you leave.
House was warm (good for Winter!) and had everything we could need. Close to everything we had a lovely stay in Sale reminiscing about the family history. Thank you.
Every thing it said it was and more. Just lovely, peaceful and delightful environment.
Lots of indoor outdoor space allowing a huge delicious bbq under cover and an amazing cook up breakfast the following day. Beds comfy, water pressure great, all of us loved it. Should I mention the huge huntsman? Even that was welcome as spiders only thrive in clean chemical free environments so his presence told us the house was chemical free. Plus we love nature.
Thankyou for making our family weekend.
Great location in the heart of Gippsland and the heart of Sale
Cobb and Co House is well located with a short stroll to all of Sale's major attractions and retail precinct. It is situated across the road from the lovely Victoria Gardens and provides easy access for walking your dog or just a stroll down to the lake. The house is large and comfortable and provided a good location for our week away. Would only suggest it could do with more cook ware (e.g. a Dutch Boiler) to make use of the well-appointed kitchen for those wanting to cook their own family meals. Overall, we had a lovely time and would recommend this home without hesitation.
This place is dog friendly, right opposite to a park, convenient for your dog to run around, close to all amenities too. Property needs some renovation and cleaning.
This house was great for the 4 of us. There were a few things in the kitchen that evidently belonged to other people but generally we were very comfortable.
