The property is accessible via a fully sealed private road that winds its way through the natural bush setting, approximately 500m from the house. The road opens up to park-like surrounds with level grass area that abuts sandstone seawalls on the magnificent Hawkesbury River. The riverfront is landscaped with private boat ramp, parking for car and trailer, BBQ picnic facilities, and a toilet. Kayaks and life jackets are available, and you can even bring your ski boat by arrangement, ramp fee applies.
The Shouse features a master bedroom with a king bed and an ensuite, while the remaining two bedrooms feature queen beds. Additionally, the upstairs lounge can be converted into another bedroom, with 2 single beds, providing a total sleeping capacity of 8 people.
The property also includes a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, microwave, and even a coffee machine that grinds fresh beans. You can bring your favourite coffee beans or enjoy the beans provided. Each bedroom has its own TV and ceiling fan, while the living areas have Chromecast and NBN Wi-Fi. The property also features 2 split air conditioners to keep you comfortable all year round.
Outside, you'll find a large undercover entertaining area complete with a BBQ, outdoor table, and lounge. It's the perfect spot to sit back and watch the beautiful sunset across the Blue Mountains.
The Shouse is located in South Maroota and is only a 1-hour drive from Sydney. The historic town of Windsor is only a 20-minute drive and has fantastic local markets every Sunday. A scenic drive up the Bells Line Road will take you to pick your own fresh fruit if the season is right. For mountain bike enthusiasts, the property is only 15 minutes from the Great North Road at Wisemans Ferry, a beautiful historic town to explore or just chill at the pub and listen to the ghost stories.
