Fantastic view of tide going in and out. Was a great location for our purposes. We lucked out with mostly nice sunny days. Bonnie the hostess was very friendly and helpful. Loved our stay.
A wonderful cottage in a stunning location, overlooking the Minas Basin. The tide watching was addictive, and we spent more than one morning walking on the beach (during low tide, of course!). Bonnie was a great host and we hope to be back very soon.
This property was everything we hoped. It was neat as a pin, had everything we needed and the view was wonderful! Bonnie was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed walking on the bay at low tide. Thank you, Bonnie! We hope to visit again. :-)
We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. Sunrises were great and the tidal changes in the bay were impressive. It was a great base to explore the wineries in the area and also Burntcoat Head Park. We would highly recommend this property.
Beautiful little cottage in a beautiful spot. We had all the amenities we needed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the fire pit and deck overlooking the water were lovely. Our only comments are that we wouldn’t quite describe it as private, and we ran out of hot water quickly.
Loved the cottage inside and out. Plenty of places to enjoy the beautiful and ever changing view of the Bay. Exploring the beach was amazing. Thank you to our host.
Bonnie is a gracious, informative and attentive host, without being overbearing. The cottage is absolutely beautiful and her attention to detail is fantastic. The tides are mesmerizing and the view is outstanding at every time of day. The swimming is great too!!
Bonnie is an amazing host. She was there to greet us when we arrived and was very responsive to whenever I reached to her. The house is exactly as advertised. Very clean and extremely comfortable. My husband and I saw all kinds of wild life. We had the good fortune of seeing hummingbirds and a bald eagle right from the lovely deck in the back yard. Thank you Bonnie for sharing your slice of heaven with us.
It you want to get away from it all, this is the place. Bonnie was a great host, attentive to all our needs. The tidal flows in the Mines Basin were amazing to watch with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. The cottage was comfy and had a very well stocked kitchen, lovely bathroom and comfy beds. One caveat, it's not very close to major tourist attractions, expect to do a lot of driving if you're into seeing the sights. Halls Harbor is only a 25 minute drive away where you can see the Bay of Fundy tides and enjoy a terrific meal at the Lobster Pound.
Our stay was perfect . The property is beautiful. The view of the water is right out your window and steps away .Watching the tides come in and out was incredibly cool to see . Bonnie was amazing ! She works so hard to make this property quaint and beautiful ! The cottage waa well equipped and had everything we needed . The shower was perfectly hot. Picking strawberries for breakfast directly outside our door . We stayed 5 weeks and it was the perfect vacation . Lots of fun towns nearby and great hills all around for our daily hikes and walks .
We had a great getaway at the cottage. The cottage is nicely appointed and the views are spectacular of the Minas Basin. The night time views of the sky were amazing. The cottage is in a very tranquil and peaceful setting. Canning a few minutes away does have restaurants, grocery store, butcher shop and a liquor store. Bonnie is the ultimate host. Our inquiries and questions were answered promptly. We will return.
The house and property are clean and well maintained! Loved that we could walk right down to the beach from the cottage, and the seats overlooking the water were perfect for our morning coffee! Ww will definitely be back!
Bonnie’s cabin is on a spectacular ridge atop the Minas Basin. This location is known for wide swings in the height of the tide. You can be mesmerized all day by the view of the bay and tides from the living room or sit in the Adirondack chairs in a peaceful Yard overlooking the water. When the tide was low, we climbed down the stairs at the edge of the property and could sunbathe on the “beach” or walk across the red sand/ mud bay floor. Bonnie is next door and available should you need anything. Many cute towns are within 10-20 minutes with lovely people and great food. Cape split and spectacular hiking is 20 minutes. This was truly special!
Cottage was cozy, with the most amazing view of the Minas Basin. Access to the beach via stairs allowed us to walk quite a ways on the beach when the tide was out. Honestly one of the quietest places I’ve ever been. Located near the end of a dead end street so next to no traffic. I usually have a ridiculous time trying to sleep in an unfamiliar place. But not here. The beds were heavenly and I had some of the best sleeps ever. This place would be amazing in the summer to get the use of the deck and bbq and swimming in the beach. The Adirondack chairs overlooking the water were a perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee. I would go back!
