The overall stay at Villa Staffieri was fantastic. We had an excellent 15 days at the property and can not thank Simon enough for all of the support, advice, tips he gave on how we could make the most of the local area.We have never been in this area of Italy before, and having VS as a base was absolutely perfect. We enjoyed the fact that we could completely unwind, spend time together as a family, jump in the pool, or explore the massive grounds.The local village was also very quaint, the people were exceptionally friendly, and the few visits we made to the coast were also very worthwhile...There was a lot of contact with Simon (Owner) throughout the stay, and he was always responsive and willing to help however he could.Thanks again for really making our holiday exceptional, Simon!

Excellent Stay in Marche, Italy

Both adults and children much enjoyed our family vacation in Villa Staffieri. Its inside and outside facilities, its garden and pool, and its view over a wide Marche landscape kept us most of the time at the villa. It was a privilege to stay in in this place with a soul and a history, and to feel the hospitality of the host, accessible at any time although not needed. We left with excellent memories.

Great stay in Marche

We stayed in the Villa Staffieri with our family, 8 persons and one dog. We had a fabulous time, the pool has a great size, you can really go for a swim. The garden has lots of nice places to sit and relax. The house is good equipped and the rooms are beautiful, every room with its own bath. The view from the terrace and the pool is stunning.

Absolutely beautiful location

The location is really beautiful. The house is clean and has everything you need for your vacation there. The rooms all have an own bathroom which are modernist and where you feel totally comfortable with. In case of rain you even have a billiard table to have some fun till the sun comes back again. There are several sitting areas for having dinner with a stunning view. We absolutely loved it and can give a 100% recommendation for this 5🌟 accommodation

Fantastic location of house with view over the area

We had a great holiday in the villa and specifically enjoyed the garden, pool and location on top of a hill. Small grocery in 5 min drive. Although 40 min drive to Ancona / the coast, the location for us was nothing less than fabulous. Visited several wineries in the neighbourhood as well as a olive oil maker. Contact with owner is very prompt and smooth; check-in and check-out effortless.

Un coin de paradis en Italie

La maison louée par Simon est un endroit merveilleux pour passer des vacances en famille. Le site est incroyable, dans la partie haute du village de Castelplanio, la vue splendide, façon carte postale, la maison a beaucoup de cachet et a été rénovée avec gout et un grand souci des finitions, l'endroit est calme, protégé, arboré, juste parfait... et que dire de la piscine, grande, propre, idéale pour se rafraichir, faire des longueurs ou jouer au water-volley en famille. On y a passé une semaine en famille, 9 personnes au total, c'était juste fantastique ! Simon a été très clair dans ses explications, et très réactif en cas de question, nous reviendrons très certainement un jour à la Villa Staffieri.

Wonderful villa in the Marche countryside

The villa and the grounds are wonderful, and the views are enchanting. We had a great time at Villa Staffieri as a multi-generational family of 8. Clearly a lot of thought and love has gone into the house. The village is an easy walking distance and it has a grocery store, cafe, a park with a plauground. The local pizzeria was unfortunately close while we were there, but it's set to re-open in August. There are several restaurants and pizzerias, as well as supermarkets, within short driving distance. Simon has been very responsive throughout and a few minor issues have been resolved in a very timely manner. Overall highly recommended!

Beautiful home with amazing view

We loved our stay in this beautiful home! The garden is large with a lovely pool and amazing view. For our dog it was great to explore the garden and also the close by walk path. We liked the difference terraces to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and nature. Small minor was the lack of shade for us. But otherwise perfect. And the contact with Simon was great. He helped us with beds and chairs for our 3 baby’s (triplets), we were really happy with his efforts on short notice to arrange all of this! We would love to come back.

Lovely villa in a fantastic location

We’ve just had a lovely 2 weeks at this villa - we were a group of 7 and it felt spacious with room to spare. Communication with the owner prior to and during the stay was fantastic - nothing was too much trouble. The information pack in the villa contained lots of helpful information and ideas for day trips etc. The villa was clean and well equipped - the pool table was a big hit!! There were also lots of board games, DVDs and books, although we spent most of our time outside enjoying the various seating areas dotted around the garden. The pool is absolutely fantastic, bigger than your average private pool, with lots of poolside seating and the most beautiful views. Castelplanio is a lovely hilltop village with local shop and pizzerias. We would thoroughly recommend as a base from which to explore this region of Italy.

Excellent stay

Overall we enjoyed our stay and the host did everything to make our stay enjoyable. However, there are a few issues that people should be aware of. The pool and access to it are not suitable for young children. The path and the surrounding area of the pool need some work! Also the large fridge was not working and the oven needs replacing. The village is quiet and friendly but offers little beyond a convenience store. There is no restaurant within walking distance. In conclusion I feel the property was overpriced considering lack of local facilities and conditions.

Wenn ich hier so sitze und versuche zwei Wochen nach dem Urlaub irgendetwas brauchbares in die Tastatur zu tippen, merke ich, dass ich in Gedanken immer noch in Villa Staffieri bin. Wenn man Ferien daran misst, wie schwer es fällt, am letzten Morgen die Tür zu schließen und zu gehen, dann waren diese Reise verdammt schön. Die Bilder sind toll, dort zu sein ist aber viel schöner. Diese fröhlichen italienischen Kirchenglocken weit in der Ferne kann man beim Durchklicken der Fotos nicht hören. Und auch der Blick in die Ferne ist nicht der gleiche. Ich hab’s geliebt und wäre so gern immer noch dort.--As I sit here, trying to type something meaningful two weeks after the holiday, I realize that, in my mind, I'm still at Villa Staffieri.If you measure a vacation by how hard it is to close the door and leave on the final morning, then this trip was a damn good one.The photos are beautiful, but being there was so much better. You can’t hear those cheerful Italian church bells far in the distance when clicking through pictures. And the view — it’s just not the same.I loved every moment and wish I were still there."Last but not least, a final thank you to Simon — the best host on the planet. I’m going to miss Villa Staffieri, but you already know that."

Relaxing in Italy

We (5 persons) had a wonderful holiday (28.5. - 8.6.) at Simon's house. It is very well equipped, spacious and has a breathtaking view over the beautiful Italian landscape. The pool is really big and very well maintained, it was cleaned twice a week. On arrival we found the keys precisely as Simon had described before along with a nice welcome package. Bakery an a small supermarket are at short walking distance and other shops can be reached by car in some minutes. Simon answered immediately whenever we had any questions. Although the weather was sometimes not totally stable, we enjoyed the pool every day, due to the sun the temperature was good. We made day or half-day trips to Urbino, Sirolo, Assisi, Loreto, San Benedetto del Tronto, Jesi, Grotte di Frasassi and others and had a great time.

Superb Italian stay

We spent two weeks at Villa Staffieri as a group of two families (with kids aged 8 and 6). The house and and the view are just spectacular and so restorative. We spent most days playing in the lovely pool and enjoying the bakery, cafe and amazing pizzeria up the hill in the village. Simon could not have been more helpful with great tips for the drive, running routes whilst we were there and brilliant recommendations for days out. We just had the best time. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful house with us. We hope to come back one day.

Simply The Best

This review won’t be long enough to really express how amazing our stay was. Firstly Simon (the Villa owner) absolutely made our holiday. His communication from the start was brilliant, timely and very informative. When we were there he helped us with his local knowledge and was always willing to assist which really helped make us the most of our trip. The Villa is fantastic with so much outdoor space and in the middle of no where and views to die for!! There was 8 of us and the Villa had ample room for us all inside as well. The location is brilliant but you do need a car to explore the area or some good walking shoes!! The local restaurants are very traditional and offer excellent value and lovely food. Make sure you go to the bakery in the village as it is lovely and became our morning ritual! Overall this Villa is fantastic and we will go back! But the best part is Simon and how well he looks after you and ensures you have a great stay, he really does care and goes above and beyond like no other owner we have ever dealt with. Don’t hesitate, book!!!

Wonderful villa with great view and pool!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Staffieri. The house was very comfortable for two families (4 adults & 4 children). The outdoor space was great with a beautiful view! Lovely seating areas to enjoy meals and relax with great company. The pool was awesome; great size and enjoyed by all! The check-in and check-out process was quick and easy. Rosa is very friendly and was quick to reply to our text messages. Simon was also very prompt at responding to any of our messages. We all really enjoyed our stay!!!

Wundervolle Auszeit

Wir (2 Familien mit insg. 4 Erwachsenen und 4 Kindern) haben im Juni 2021 eine wundervolle Woche in dieser Villa verbracht. Der Check-In lief ganz unproblematisch und kontaktlos mittels eines Schlüssel-Tresors. Simon und Rosa waren jederzeit ansprechbar bei Fragen und haben uns schon im Voraus mit allen nötigen Informationen versorgt. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt - die Ausstattung war mehr als ausreichend was Gläser / Geschirr oder Besteck angeht. Es gab ausreichend Spielmöglichkeiten für die Kinder und das Areal an sich mit dem großen Pool war traumhaft: Grillplatz / Essmöglichkeit im Außenbereich / große Grünfläche zum Rumtoben. 2 Mal pro Woche wurde der Pool gereinigt und auch sonst war alles sauber. Wir haben mehrere Ausflüge nach Senigallia, Sirolo und zur Grotte di Frasassi unternommen, die alle nicht weit entfernt sind. Ein toller Tipp war auch die Pizzeria "Giardini di Planio", die nur ein paar Gehminuten von der Unterkunft entfernt lag - nur den Berg hoch (da ist auch direkt ein kleiner Spielplatz). Sehr lecker, auch das Eis - wir waren 3 Mal dort :) Es gibt eigentlich nichts auszusetzen, auch wenn Klimaanlagen in den Schlafräumen schön wären, denn es wird im Sommer doch recht warm in den Zimmern. Etwas Abhilfe war durch die Ventilatoren geschaffen. Insgesamt haben wir hier eine sehr schöne Zeit gehabt und uns rundum wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr Zufrieden

Das Haus sieht genau so aus wie es auf den Fotos angegeben wird. Der Pool ist riesig und ebenso die Anlage. Es liegt zwar ziemlich abseits aber das macht die Lage nur um so ruhiger.
