Nice cabin to get away from the city.
The cabin was nice, located down a 2 mile dirt road. There are a few camp sites located on the property behind the cabin and the path that lead to them run a small dirt road a few feet from the cabin driveway and we were not aware of that prior to check in. There is a small creek behind the cabin that is able deep and once you cross that you can follow the path to the camp sites behind the cabin that are situated on the river. The property was clean and furniture was very comfortable, the enclosed patio furniture was covered in Pollen but that is to be expected and it was easy to clean off. The grill on the back deck was broken. The igniter was ripped out and while we could open the propane valve and smell the propane we could not light the grill with matches or a lighter gun and opted to just cook our steaks on a cast iron pan. There is no wifi so it was a good chance to unplug and relax away from the city. At night you can see the stars and constellations. We came to the cabin to see the solar eclipse and it was amazing. Aside from the issue with the grill we had a great time taking walks around the property, letting our corgis run around, played a bunch of board games, and just enjoyed the quiet. If you're looking for a nice quiet getaway, this place is good for it.

A great stay on the Fourche La Fave
We spent a week at this beautiful property with our pups and would highly recommend it. The house was a well furnished, clean ranch home with everything we could have needed for the stay. We spent a few days on the river, fishing, swimming and kayaking with our pups. The fishing was great for smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, various sunfish and some big drum! The location was perfect as a hub for adventures in the surrounding area among the Ouachita Mountains. The host was very friendly and accommodating while providing us with several tips to more enjoy the area. We hope to revisit it in the future!
