The beachside neighbourhood of St Kilda is a popular holiday destination, thanks to its sandy beaches, adorable little penguins and windsurfing and yachting. Luna Park offers historic roller coasters and rides, while the St Kilda Sea Baths and St Kilda Esplanade Market attract throngs of locals and visitors on weekends. You can dine at an eclectic range of restaurants along The Esplanade or frequent the cocktail bars and live music venues on the waterfront.

Public transport
The Carlisle St/St Kilda Rd tram stop is about 230 metres away and has two lines accessing the
Melbourne CBD in about 40 minutes. The Balaclava train station is about 700 metres away and
has trains into the CBD in about 15 minutes. There are also bus stops along Carlisle Street with
multiple lines servicing the surrounding suburbs and city centre.
Ride sharing
Ride sharing apps are a safe and easy way to get around, especially late at night when public
transport services are less frequent. Prices are about two-thirds of a taxi, but may surge during
bad weather or public events.
