We had the most wonderful winter stay at Citrus Grove. The property is so well and comfortably equipped. We were treated daily with sunrise and sunset. A peaceful retreat.
The house is in a rural setting with a great view of the hills and cows. Very relaxing. Linda was wonderful and stayed in touch to ensure everything was going well. It's also very close walking distance to Djinta Djinta winery where the service and wine was amazing. Great Stay.
Citrus Grove is a stunning property in a stunning location. The property was immaculate and well 'kitted out'. Linda is a responsive and generous host. I highly recommend and would definitely return. Thank you, Linda.
Everything was amazing, from the house to the location to the amazing host, every little detail is thought of to make the stay so enjoyable, will def be back
The house is in perfect condition surrounded by picturesque green rolling hills. Linda (the owner) is friendly and provided great suggestions.
During the day there’s lots of walks (including the nearby Rail Trail), lovely cafes in town, the brewery, craft shopping and Djinta Djinta winery just 200m away. The evenings are perfect for open fire and snuggling up. Highly recommended
Had a lovely weekend at Citrus Grove - Linda was a fantastic host (very responsive to questions we had). The house is beautifully set up and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. Can't beat the view and ability to pick fruit from the orchard on the property.
The location of the property is scenic and serene. Inside is wonderfully laid out and has everything you would need. The host is super helpful and friendly. In short, we would wholeheartedly recommend
We stayed for a long weekend - after all the COVID lockdown parlava and winter blues.
- The house is amazing - modern, clean and comfortable. Exactly as per photos.
- Linda is welcoming, friendly and offers good suggestions
- We spent most evenings sitting around the fire (outdoors), toasting marshmallows, with a red wine and star gazing. What could be better?
Highly recommend!!

About the host

My husband (Terence) and I travelled through Europe a few years back and thoroughly enjoyed staying in apartments that gave us a truly authentic local experience combined a high level of comfort and lovely things in the apartments to enjoy. That's the thing we want to provide for our guests in underrated South Gippsland.
Why they chose this property
The house is surrounded by farmlets and vineyards. The house is located overlooking one paddock running down to a creek. Guests have complete privacy on 10 acres. The view comprises the rolling hills and cattle/hobby farms of South Gippsland. And conveniently close to the Great Southern Rail Trail. North facing deck so guest can see sunrise and sunset from the same location.
What makes this property unique
Compact, contemporary and architecturally designed home located only 90 mins from Melbourne's CBD yet offers scenic views of rolling hills and gumtrees. Comfortable house climate controlled - warm and cosy in winter and cool with cross breezes in summer. The extensive kitchen garden and orchard offers organic fresh produce (when in season) and great cooking facilities to cater for the foodie. Nectre fire box inside and a firepit outside. Good set up for WFH with a desk, ergonomic chair and computer monitor. Walking distance to a winery restaurant and tasting room!
