Location, location, location…The Nordic Farmhouse is located in Fly Creek, just 3.5 miles from Dreams Park, the Baseball Hall of Fame, Main Street, local museums, and gorgeous Otsego Lake. A wonderful place to relax, unwind, and stargaze, Fly Creek is a region of dairy farms, wildflowers, and peaceful countryside, with rolling hills for miles and miles. Great for biking enthusiasts, wine and beer aficionados, hikers, and lovers of water sports.

We offer cozy comfort for 6 in three queen bedrooms, with two full baths on main and upper levels. Optional accommodations for two additional guests offered in our bright and airy, fully-finished basement, which features two twin beds, an additional full bath, large-screen television, WiFi and Ethernet-Internet access. Come live the good life. Quietly bespoke, and furnished in a breezy, Scandinavian, our home was designed with small groups of discerning travelers in mind seeking a quiet, elegant retreat. Unlike many Cooperstown rentals, this is not a suburban-style home, nor a mega-mansion, nor a rough-and-tumble colonial party house. We offer instead a thoughtfully designed, clutter-free space with refreshing cottage charm. Bedrooms feature high-quality beds, fresh crisp linens, and ample clean storage space. Bathrooms feature European fixtures, distinctive tile work, and heated towel racks. Lastly, the main floor offers a relaxed gathering space with an open-plan living room, a large and well-stocked kitchen, and 9-foot black walnut dining bar. All this, plus vintage furniture, original artwork, and unobstructed views of nature in all directions.

Health and safety. We undertake all standard cleaning protocols advised by the CDC and disinfect all surfaces with either soap and water, hydrogen peroxide, isopropyl alcohol solution, or some combination thereof. On request, we also offer spray bottles of both isopropyl alcohol and hydrogen peroxide for visitor use while staying in the house. It is a good idea to bring sanitizer with you to the baseball events and consider wearing a mask if anyone near you seems to have an upper respiratory illness.

As noted elsewhere in this listing, our home has seen animals from time to time, including dogs and cats. While we take every measure to clean all surfaces and textiles of animal hair and dander, including use of concentrated vinegar spray, there is always the chance that trace amounts remain. We therefore respectfully advise that those with allergies to animal dander bring appropriate medications with them and start taking those medications 1-2 days before arrival. These may include OTC antihistamines or medications such as loratadine, AKA, “Claritin," or similar.
