About this property

The Cabin has served our family well for more than twenty years. It is relaxed, basic, humble, and comfortable.
(During NSW Easter public school holidays, we require a minimum 4 night bookings)
A short walk (100/m) to the centre of Boomerang Beach where few people gather as there is limited parking.
This is a 2 bedroom house, and linen is not provided.
Bed 1 has a queen bed plus wardrobe.
Bed 2 has a bunk bed with a double on the bottom plus wardrobe.
Bath/Laundry with separate toilet, see the attached floor plan.
Our property backs onto a heath, which offers a wide range of flora and fauna. Combined with the ocean, you have the best of both worlds.
This is just a reminder that the property does not have Wi-Fi.
Dogs are the only pets we allow to stay. They must be house trained and are not permitted on the beds or lounges. Also, they are not allowed to utilise our blankets.

Location!

Could not be better located for true ski in/ ski out and walking to village. We never got in car or on shuttle the entire trip. Also, this place is huge! Told my four children that if we came again, they could bring friends. Seriously, it could sleep 10 comfortably. New and well stocked kitchen. This is all We really care about….location, size and a clean kitchen. Oh a hot tub would be nice but this location wins out.

Great place

Relaxing and peaceful, only issue was I wanted to stay longer and could not get ahold of host to find out if that was possible. All in all will do it again

Disappointing!

· Although it did not have air-conditioning, there is insufficient fans to cool the property adequately. Three rusty old fans were an insufficient source of cooling – the house felt was extremely uncomfortable on warmer days/nights. · No window screens on the majority of windows. To cool the property it was necessary to open windows. This caused security concerns and also allowed insects into the property. · Every window blind in the house was broken and would not function properly. · Security screen doors could not be locked causing further security issues. · No storage area to store bikes etc unless they were brought inside although, due to no functioning security screens and the requirement to leave windows open (with no screens) security of bikes etc was a concern. · Backyard unsuitable for children to play in – zero shade · Back deck unsafe and in need repair/re-build – exposed nails extremely deteriorated timbers. · Lattice around back deck is rotten and falling apart – our dog kept going under the deck which caused some issues leaving toys etc underneath. · The bunk beds swayed and did not feel structurally safe. · Advertisement states the house is “basic” and “humble” – This is an strong understatement! · Fantastic fridge – the kids loved the ice maker. None of the photos on the website show what state the property is actually in. Very disappointing.

Perfect beach getaway

Kent and Kathy were lovely hosts. Very easy to communicate with and extremely helpful. We had a fantastic stay - the beach is so close, we can’t wait to come back.

Only 100 meters to one of the best surf beaches on the coast where on its day, the ocean is a crystal aqua blue.
Depending on swell size spear and beach fishing are popular past times.
You can walk your dog on the beach but please adhere to both local and Midcoast Council Dogs In Public Spaces guidelines.
