Guys Get Away
My friends and I had a fabulous time. It's a short walk to take a morning coffee and guitar to either the local dock or to a beautiful viewing area with a timber frame bench to watch the fog burn off the water. The cottage is located in a fairly private space, nice green space in the backyard for a private fire. The small store a very short walk away to purchase drinking water, alcohol and small every day things you might have forgotten at home. I had a wonderful time meeting friendly locals on my many walks. Any and all questions were promptly answered by the owners. The 5 bedrooms were all a great size and we'll distanced from each other. There is a huge open space on the upper level were all the children could layout their sleeping bags and the parents could split up the five bedrooms. The cottage was clean when we arrived and getting in was easy. If you've never stayed up in that area of the Bruce be aware that the cell reception is terrible in many small communitys. Our group found that WhatsApp worked for all of us to easily communicate from the cottage WiFi. Don't expect the WiFi to be perfect though. I also recommend you figure out a way to make any possible emergency calls ahead of time (through an app) because neither our Rogers or Bell services granted us regular cell coverage. I gave 4 stars for Location, because it's not on the water BUT the real value of this rental are the 5 spread out bedrooms and three seperate gathering areas plus the kitchen in the cottage

Cottage luxury
This log style cottage is a must stay if you are looking in the area. We had 6 adults but could have easily accommodated 10 comfortably. The washrooms are clean, newer and nicely finished. The water pressure is great. The kitchen is wonderful. You do not want for anything in this cottage. The fire pit is awesome. The grounds are quite spacious with loads of room for outdoor activities. The inside has 3 levels with lots of room to play. The decks have more than enough room for meals or sun bathing. This cottage definitely added fun to our family time.

Great Location
The property lives up to descriptions. Pike Bay is a great area. The General Store has everything you need and the people there are very helpful. Property Manager was very helpful, pro-active communication and very quick to respond. Thanks Sukh!!

Hi I’m Sukh! I love to travel (no surprise), cook, and I’m currently residing in Saugeen Shores - one of the best sunset spots in the world. I went to the UK for my Master’s and travelled as much as I could (taking advantage of my proximity to Europe). I’ve been to Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Australia, Portugal to name a few. When I'm not doing all that, you’ll probably find me trying to perfect my latte art (or trying to make anything that resembles a shape).

Why they chose this property

Cedars on Huron really caught our eye because it is in a very quiet place, allowing you to enjoy nature - but is close to all the best activities that one would wish to do - winter or summer!

In the winter there are many cross country ski trails around, as well as Collingwood which is just an hour away. Sauble beach is just 30 mins away with great food, and an amazing beach which is perfect for sunbathing and swimming. Tours to Flowerpot Island, and Manitoulin Island can be accessed from Tobermory - only 30 mins away. These are just some of the main attractions near Cedars on Huron, there are many more local day trips, and nearby activities, the list goes on!
