Space and serenity
Huge, beautifully appointed home right on the lake. Three gorgeous double rooms on the upper floor including a fabulous master with ensuite. A further twin room on this floor. The basement double is significantly more basic but has a showroom on hand and it's way cooler! Plenty of space for our 8 people. The screened porch and lounge were fabulous but the screens around the house do need upgrading and the lounge windows cuttently can't be opened. The house is fairly well equipped but for 8 self catering some larger pans would help. Bedside lights would be nice! The Keurig is fabulous and there are 2 fridge freezers. Towels and bedding are good quality. We loved the canoe, inflatable, arcade games in the basrment, the gorgous dock .... The lake is generally peaceful and the motorized boats not tooo intrusive apart from a couple of less thoughtful jet skis so be careful if you are a longer distance swimmer. Super snack shack and convenience stores in Cambells Bay. Shawville has larger grocery stores and the AMAZING Pontiac bakery. Brezlaffs is a 5 minute drive away and has most things including water. Highly recommend a trip to Chutes Colonge zip wire and high ropes course (40 min drive). Robert is a fabulously responsive host and responded immediately to a minor problem. Property managers are local and on hand if needed. Loved our trip!
