About this property

Tastefully furnished and light-filled, our apartment has a large balcony perfect for relaxing close to the trees. The masterbedoom is large, with a kingsize bed. The second is smaller, with a double bed. We’ve kept the original art deco heritage features, which give the spaces a warmth and charm. Located minutes on foot to cafes, the St Kilda Botanic Gardens, shops, and public transport, or a 15 minute walk to the beach, guests can enjoy all the conveniences. Pets are welcome. Huge back yard

About the host

Your host

We're a French Australian family, with one of us having grown up in the area, and feeling forever attached to the atmosphere of Elwood and St Kilda, the street life, the towering plane trees and the long stretch of bay.

Why they chose this property

Our apartment is comfortable for one or two couples, who prefer a heritage feel, a lot of light, a balcony and large backyard (especially if you bring dog along). Ideal also for those who want to have a base for exploring the bay side areas, with their clusters of great cafes, relaxed atmosphere and easy access to beaches, bike tracks and the city centre by tramways.

We provide free WIFI, linen, towels, clothes washer and dryer (sorry but no washer in the kitchen, yet!!). Parking along Tennyson Street is free and not hard to find. There's a smart TV and fan cooling, electric heating.

What makes this property unique

This is a location where you can really enjoy moving about on foot, whether for a drink out, a trip to the beach, a visit to the supermarket or restaurants, cafes. The tram way on Brighton Road is minutes away and direct to the centre of Melbourne, passing the National Gallery Victoria, Concert Hall and Botanic Gardens, along the way. A truly charming area to stay.
