Beautiful manor, nice grounds, lacking supplies
The Orting Manor is lovely with pleasant, but not immaculate, grounds. Maybe I missed where its listed but the pool is not heated and the hot tub is broken. The pool house is nice and the outside bathrooms are clean. Most of the beds were comfortable (the room at the front of the house's bed wasn't) and the rooms were all nicely decorated. The drapes in some of the rooms don't fully cover the windows so it is up with the sun for the unlucky occupant! Downstairs is the most beautiful and the furniture is lovely and fairly comfy. Only one rocking chair on the large wrap around porch (odd) but a nice bistro table on the balcony off one of the upstairs bedrooms. Kitchen has plenty of dishes, glasses and silverware but sadly lacking otherwise. No bottle opener, waffle iron, measuring utensils, mixer, basic spices, etc. The house itself is a wonder to behold and, I'm sure, has a rich history but there was no information available about that. No t.v. (fine with us), games or books. Within walking distance to a wonderful park and some restaurants. If you're not having a wedding there, the price seems steep.
