Felt like a place someone was trying to make a profit off in the cheapest way possible
The property was not clean, comfortable or welcoming in general. We could feel dirt and small rocks under our feet when we walked around. There were cobwebs by the windows and over the bathroom door. There was hardened soap buildup on the sink, probably from a previous stay, that had not been cleaned. There were ants on the kitchen counter by the sink. The fridge had a terrible smell that had seeped into the freezer and could not be missed. I cannot understand why the bed had plastic liners under it, making it very hard to sleep with the noise they made every time we moved and frankly insulting to a guest. Additionally the fitted sheet on the bed was too small for the bed and kept coming off making us have to sleep on the liner. I found someones left over tank top in one of the drawers in the bedroom. Only one of the 2 lights on the front porch worked and even that didn't work right, it flicked on and off like a strobe light and made it impossible to sit outside (this was told to 2 different staff members who came to check with no fix). It was disappointing that the back patio did not have any light or even lanterns provided so it was impossible to sit out there to do anything once it got dark. Essentially both the front and back patio were useless if one wanted to enjoy the stars or night sky.It was obvious that there was no care provided to the property, no attention to make sure it was cleaned properly or even made comfortable for a stay. So much potential yet lack of care.

Our teams are on fixed routes for snow and work alongside city and county resources to clear roads, driveways, walkways etc. Guests should be prepared in winter months to shovel themselves in or out of the property and off of the street in these snowstorm events. As there is no street parking allowed in Big Bear it is extremely important that guests make every attempt to get vehicles off the street for the snowplows. California Law requires that vehicles traveling to Big Bear from November thru April have snow chains in their vehicles however we also recommend proper footwear, an emergency kit, and an extra snow shovel.
