Christmas Holiday Disaster

We were not able to check in as the ‘host’ wouldn’t respond to emails. When we were finally able to contact her at the time we were due to check in to the house v she stated she hadn’t had this property for 6 months or more. When I tried to clarify what she just said to be sure I had heard her correctly she hung up on me. VRBO came to our rescue and found us a hotel for a couple of days to allow us to figure out our next move. This is one Christmas we will never forget

The Host really messed up our trip. Four months in advance reservations were made and paid. The price was a very reasonable price. Accidentally learned that the Host had cancelled the reservation without any notice to us. Replacement lodging cost 3 times the reserved price. VRBO has promised to make up the difference. Fingers crossed.
