It was nice but. . .

Overall, the property matched the description. The property manager was welcoming and had welcome notes throughout the unit. The cleaning in the unit was average, the first floor bathroom was not clean. On the lower level, there was a sour smell and a broken bedframe making for a horrible sleeping experience. I have stayed in multiple VRBO properties and have never had the amount of messages from the owner during my stay. We were told we could use the garage and then had to move to accommodate the caretaker bringing over an oven to ensure the next tenant had a fully working oven. Finally, there were notes all over the unit with instructions--do not use this lock, do not sit on this couch, etc.

STAY AWAY FROM THE HOUSE AND FROM THE HOST – NEW YEAR RUINED

STAY AWAY FROM THE HOUSE AND FROM THE HOST – NEW YEAR RUINED. Please don’t rent from this host if you don’t want to spend all your time cleaning the house. We rented this house for the New Year weekend. The house looked great on the pictures on VRBO, and it could have been a great place to stay if it had been properly cleaned. From the time we entered the house, we started cleaning the kitchen as it was so dirty that we felt disgusted to put our food on the counters and in the fridge. Everything was so filthy. When we brought all the issues up with the host over the text messages, he gave us an option to leave immediately and said that we would be fully reimbursed. We left, and later on, we found out that not all the money was returned – the host retained part of the night accommodation fee and the cleaning fee, saying that we left the house in a mess and that he had to call the cleaning lady to clean after us, which was a complete lie. We did not have time to use any of the rooms. All the 2.5 hours we spent in your house we tried to clean the kitchen to put our food away and definitely, it was way cleaner after we left than when we checked in. To cut the story short, we spent several months disputing the charges, making numerous calls, wasting so much of our time. So, if you don’t want to go through this, stay away from this place and the host.

Worth it

This property was everything we could have hoped for. My family and I came to visit Canada for a long weekend and we couldnt have been pleased with our stay. The house was clean, spacious, and in a wonderful location. Anna provided timely responses and was always willing to give us information about the best places to go for food and shopping. The check in and out was also easy and quick. Mty family and I would be staying there again should we go back to Canada.
