Awestruck by this unique home!
This property and home was unbelievable! The pictures do not do it it justice, I've been telling all my friends and family about this and showing my photos of the unique home. The octagon shape with the fireplace as the centre of the main room is beautiful. When we first arrived it felt like an adventure to learn the home. Everything you need is there, so not to worry if you forget something. Communication with Tim was great. 10/10 recommend, we will be back! (next with our ATVs/ORVs as the trails aren't too far away)

Long weekend
We loved the property and area. It was dated inside and some parts do need work. However it was everything we wanted and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The dog loved having the freedom to roam and explore. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the log fire. Would definitely go again.

Great weekend with our dog
Spent 3 nights relaxing at this cabin and exploring the trails and forest with our dog. Didn't see another soul, which was perfect for us. Cabin was bigger than it seemed in photos and had everything we needed: towels, linens, blankets, salt & pepper, all the kitchen basics. Somehow I always forget the cooking oil, but the store is only a 15 min drive away. We'd definitely spend more time here in the future!

Secluded Getaway
The house was exactly as described in the listing. It was perfect for what we were looking for: rustic (and quite beautiful log home), lots of space in the surrounding property, and secluded. I plan on coming again in the near future.

Wonderful!
The property manager was great with communication and very kind. The property was beautiful and quiet, neighbours kept to themselves. Inside the cabin was as described and very clean! Look forward to returning one day!

I was born and raised in Tweed, and having spent most of my life as a traveling performer, I have spent a lot of time in hotel beds and billet accommodations. I love being able to elevate an overnight experience, and add all the things that I hope for when travelling. I now run our region's professional theatre company, and the opportunity to host guests throughout their time here is very meaningful to me.

Why they chose this property

Having been born and raised in Tweed and relocating here full time in 2020, this are is uniquely located, still being in the prime eastern Ontario Toronto to Ottawa corridor, but with a wealth of untaped natural wilderness and open spaces. The town of Tweed is a quaint and inviting community, but despite it's small size it boasts one of Ontario largest regional theatre companies, as well as an eclectic mix of farm to table experiences

What makes this property unique

This is a ONE OF A KIND home, and when I saw it I absolutely fell in love with it. Hand crafted, inviting finishes, unique shape and open concept feel, all centred around this gorgeous fireplace...this home is truly a magical place.
