Entry: Upon entering the Rocky Mountain Luxury Escape you are warmly welcomed with reclaimed wood walls, unique décor and original photographs.
Kitchen: Open gourmet kitchen with beautiful granite counter tops and a chiseled edge peninsula/breakfast bar that can accommodate 6 high top chairs allowing full view of preparations and fun interaction with the chef. The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware and utensils for your cooking needs along with extra conveniences such as crockpot, pasta pot, pancake griddle, roasting pan, baking dishes and more. There are ample dishes, cutlery, and a variety of glassware for table settings. The unique custom-built cabinetry allows plenty of room for food and beverages and also includes an extra large pull-out cupboard with a variety of dry spices.
Dining: A spectacular live edge figure 8 shaped slab dining table with a tree stump pedestal base seats 8 and is surrounded by wilderness photography and stunning mountain views.
Main Floor Bathroom: Complete with a custom reclaimed wood vanity, granite counter and walk-in shower.
Main Floor Bedroom: Furnished with a queen size log bed, vanity/desk with chair, and large closet with mirrored sliding glass doors.
Living Room: Imagine yourself curled up before a crackling fire burning in the large stone fireplace. The two-story peaked wall of windows means nothing impedes the incredible view of the Cariboo Mountains on the west side of the Rocky Mountain Trench.
Master Suite: This luxury suite with queen sized log bed occupies the entire 500 square foot top floor. Enjoy the feel of a loft but with full privacy from a glass enclosed wall and French door access to the staircase leading down to the main floor. The custom-built rock slab beverage/snack area is a mini kitchen within this private oasis, complete with Keurig coffee maker, toaster, small fridge as well as glassware, plates, and cutlery. Once your snack is ready there is a large, jetted tub for two allowing you to enjoy the solitude while you take in the vast mountain view. The bathroom/vanity area is separated by a sliding door and features a custom designed slate walk-in shower. A private balcony on the north side of the suite is the perfect spot to enjoy nature’s ambience, a beautiful sunset invoking a true sense of peace and tranquility.
Main Floor Deck: Majestic mountain peaks and breathtaking sunsets will pull you out onto the glass-railed deck with its 210 degree view. The deck has a patio dining set, furniture and a 4 burner Webber BBQ with a side burner and rotisserie.
Lower-Level Great Room: This welcoming gathering space features a handcrafted bar encasing museum memorabilia of the original “mountain man” and provides the setting to enjoy your favorite beverage while reflecting on the lives of the original explorers to this rugged terrain. The bar area is outfitted with a granite countertop and bar sink, a wine/beverage fridge, and glassware. It is open to the great room which provides a large seating area for movie watching on the 75” smart tv, additional sleeping space as well as the entrance to the spacious backyard area and hot tub.
3rd Bedroom: This queen-sized bedroom is the largest on the lower floor with lots of dresser space for storage.
4th Bedroom: This room features a double bed and a dresser for storage.
Lower-Level Bathroom: The vintage-built vanity features a stunning rock designed sink while the walk-in shower with sliding glass doors provides a spacious and open feel.
Laundry Room: The laundry houses a full-size stacking washer/dryer, laundry sink and iron with ironing board. There is also an apartment size fridge/freezer that is perfect for the extra space.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Hot Tub: A 7-person Artic Spa Salt Water Hot Tub is located on the lower deck. Soak in this amazing spa while taking in the spectacular views. It doesn’t get any better than this. There are hot tub towels in the linen closet on the lower level.
Outdoor Fire Pit: The fire pit is located off the lower deck. Due to forest fire concerns outside fires are permitted ONLY from October 1st to April 30th .
Spa Robes: For your comfort each bedroom is supplied with 2 spa robes.
Drinking Water: As the Lodge is on a well-water system please drink the provided filtered water only.
Air Conditioning: It can be very warm in the summer months of July/August. The Lodge does not have central air-conditioning. There is a portable air-conditioner in the master suite as well as portable fans in all bedrooms and a large ceiling fan in the main floor living room. All doors on the main floor and top floor have phantom screens that allow cool mountain airflow.
Driveway: As the Lodge is in a rural area and the long driveway has an upslope, we recommend 4-wheel drive vehicles in the winter months. Security Cameras: There are 3 exterior security cameras. One located at the front door. One located at the back door and one overlooking the hot tub area!
During your stay the cameras at the back door and hot tub area will be disabled.
