We are delighted to invite you to our Guest House. This home was built in 1938. The Guest House was completely remolded 2021 through 2023 (We're still looking for new ways to improve the property. Who knows when the remodel will truly end?)

Broadway Guest House is more than just a charming place to spend a quiet weekend away. Our Guest House offers unique insight into our area's history, culture, and cuisine all in one place. Many local folklore and roomers claim that all who enter the home become LUCKY!

Somehow Broadway Guest House is as majestic inside as it is on the exterior. Every one of the 4 guest rooms is uniquely different—and many have luxe amenities, like a whirlpool tub and private deck. And is just minutes away from the idyllic Downtown Spring Valley.

A local banker named John Osterud (the original founder of Home Federal Savings Bank) originally built the home in 1938. The Guest House was completely remodeled 2021 - 2003 (Still upgrading as we go).

Spring Valley, Minnesota, is a quintessential small town that is famous for its historic main street, local cuisine, and vast array of events that take place during every season.

Broadway Guest House lies in the heart of Bluff Countries Driftless Region, there are a vast number of unique natural formations, parks and conservation areas that include trails, rest areas and playgrounds tapping into the beauty and wonder of this spectacular topography.

With an array of elevations from 603 to 1719 feet the area was never touched by glacial deposits, or drift, so largely remained untouched by glacial deposits. Steep hills, bluffs, deeply carved rivers, spring feed waterfalls and streams are common throughout the area.

Enjoy a good book by the fireplace, after a day or fishing or hiking. Broadway Guest House is the perfect place to find old world country charm, Spend your time Fishing on the Trout run trail, or experience our many local vineyards or breweries.

Such a lovely cozy home, loved our stay.

Well appointed home, comfortable beds, very clean, kitchen had everything that we needed. Loved the sweets from Some Like It Hot. This home, and this town is a hidden gem.

This house is above and beyond our expectations, wonderful weekend!

The house had more amenities than my own home. The Beds were comfortable. Plenty of space for gathering and talking, games or relaxing and watching a movie. Kitchen has everything we needed. The treats waiting for us were a fun and delicious surprise. We loved the area, and need to come back to see more. An extra bonus was that we could see our childhood home out the kitchen window. This was one of the nices homes we have ever rented. Thank you so much for sharing this SV GEM with us!!

We loved every minute of our stay !

We noticed that all of the decor was beautifully done and so clean as soon as we walked in. Everyone commented that their beds were so comfortable… it was a wonderful home away from home for all of us.

Transforming the house built by the Osterud Family of Spring Valley was quite an undertaking by involving over twenty-one local vendors to bring our restoration to completion.

We saw such potential in the house originally owned by John Osterud, founder of The Spring Valley Home Federal Bank, which was custom built in 1938. “When John and Helen lived in this home, they had a full-time maid/nanny and her bedroom was in the back. A galley type maid’s kitchen suitable for one person was built by design. This kitchen, was one of the major renovations.
