The Space:
The condo has everything you need for a short or long stay!
Inside the condo is a smart TV that includes cable, high speed WIFI, A/C, and a gas fireplace. An attached patio has enough space to enjoy your morning coffee with an excellent view of the mountains.
The kitchen has an oven, microwave, coffee machine and all your necessary cookware and utensils.
The bathroom has a tub and shower and amenities include hair dryer and toiletries.
The building has a year round pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, and well equipped gym. There is also a laundry machines available for a small cost.
The building has secure parking that is available at a cost of $18/day. The machine to pay for your ticket is right in the parkade. There is also secure bike/snowboard/ski storage in the parkade.
Guest access:
Our guests will have full access to the entire condo, this isn't a shared space! The building shared amenities (pool, hot tub, gym and paid laundry) are available to guests, and everything is accessed by a secure code that you are provided upon check in.
Getting around:
Paid parking is available in the secure underground lot of the Alpenglow building. The machine to buy the ticket is in the underground parkade and access is granted to the underground by a keypad and a unique code that is issued to each guest by the Front Desk when they check in.
The cost is $18/24 hours to park your vehicle.
If biking, there is a secure bike room within the parkade. Access to the bike room is also controlled through the same unique code issued to each guest by the Front Desk.
There are other options for parking within Whistler. Prices are similar or more than what is charged at our building.
There is public transit within Whistler that is often free for use, please refer to whistler dot ca for a list of times when it is available. Taxis and Uber/Lyft are also available for use.
As well there are excellent biking and walking trails all around the Village so a vehicle isn't necessary for your day to day.
To get to Whistler from Vancouver or other destinations, there are shuttle options, private buses, taxis, seaplanes as well as the options to rent a vehicle. A comprehensive guide can be found at whistler dot com/getting-here (direct links aren't allowed within descriptions).
Neighbourhood description:
This condo is on the 4th floor of the Alpenglow building, located at 4369 Main Street in Whistler.
Once you have arrived, a vehicle is no longer needed for anything in the village as everything is mere steps away. World class shopping, food and activities are minutes away.
Some highlights include:
-a 1 minute walk to Hy's Steakhouse, a very highly rated restaurant and cocktail bar. I recommend making a reservation as it fills up quickly.
-a 2 minute walk to El Furniture Warehouse, a high energy and cheap(er) eats place to hang out and enjoy the Whistler scene.
-a 2 minute walk to Garfinkels, one of Whistler's main nightclubs.
-a 7 minute walk to Aritzia, an upscale clothing shop as well as passing many other institutions for Mountain gear such as Patagonia, Arc'teryx and the North Face.
-a 2 minute walk to Fresh St Market, a great grocery store and 2 minutes to a BC Liquor Store. Recreational marijuana is legal in BC, but a reminder that smoking and vaping is not allowed in our building or on the patio. Please respect our neighbours!
-a 1 minute walk to the Whistler Olympic Plaza, a great place for all Social Media pictures as it was the main stage for Whistler during the 2010 Winter Olympics!
-5 minute walk to the bottom of the gondola for the start of your ski, snowboard or bike day on the Mountain,
-a 10 minute walk (2 minute drive) to the clubhouse of the Whistler Golf Club, a 15 minute walk (3 minute drive) to the Fairmont Chateau Golf Course and a 6 minute drive to the Niklaus North Golf Club.
And many, many more! This location is close enough to everything Whistler Village has to offer, but just far enough away with enough nature to not lose the Mountain Resort feel. You can walk to the club in minutes, but aren't serenaded to sleep by the music from it.
